The endless, vast space around the onyx eyed girl seemed to swallow her into its empty embrace as she drifted without a destination in mind, just to survive inside this deep, black hole, its color not bright nor dreary, swirling around her floating body.

You now have a choice, young one.

The girl did not flinch nor startled at the sudden soft voice that penetrated her head, it just seemed so natural and right inside of her, enveloping her in its warm and gentle sound. Like the reminiscence of sitting inside a jolly cottage in front of a large burning flame in the middle of winter. Something she had never felt before.

Do you remember how you died?

Hearing that, the once peaceful look on the young girl's face diminished, leaving a slightly confused expression with a tiny crease between her brows.

"No I don't."

Try to.

Shaking her head as her locks cascaded around her as if underwater, she stood her ground.

"I can't. My head hurts."

Then I will share mine with you. . .

The girl's orbs flashed wide open as a bright light illuminated her, piercing through the dull surroundings and banishing all serenity of just being there. Catching her composure for a moment, she let her body drift towards a mirror like object that shone with a brilliance that could be compared to the sun itself before peering inside, half expecting her reflection to gaze back.
It was her, but somehow more. . . Alive.

That's you, Thalia Foster.

"I do not remember any of this."

You do not have to. I merely want your choice at the end of this.

"I don't understand."

Continue to try.

She looked back at the alternate version of herself, gripping the edge of the thin golden frame, straining to make clear of the scene before her.

If you still cannot see, perhaps this will help you.

The girl gasped as her ghosted spirit was embraced by a crystal like substance, drawing her into the mirror, throughout the sky and into the body of herself.
Thalia Foster.

...

"Please! Please don't hurt her!" I threw myself into the floor in front of the cruel man I should call father as his calloused hand brutally crushed the skull of my younger sister, her screams rang clear around my mind as I helplessly watched her suffer from my tied up position on the floor.

"Why should I? There is another to spare," the man-no, monster before me drunkenly slurred as he dropped my sister for the moment to roughly pat my exhausted head, making me glare with hatred.

If I survive this a certain somebody will die.

"Don't harm Warren! Please! I'll do anything! Just don't hurt them!"
I cried as tears threatened to flood my onyx eyes.

Why am I so weak?

His blood shot eyes glared at me hungrily before he threw his great head back, laughing uproariously.
"And what can you offer me? I lost everything, little girl, everything. Now I've relieved myself of my burdens, you mean nothing to me."

Gritting my teeth in frustration, I then notice my younger brother's hand stir and his head poked up, bleary eyes trying to adjust to his new settings.
When he saw me on the floor beneath our father, his eyes widened and he opened his mouth to scream before I dispelled him with a slight shake of my head, gesturing to Sakura and the door on the far side of the room, hoping with all my soul that the monster wouldn't turn around to catch the boy writhing above the ground towards my sister.
