Chapter 1

Hello. My name is Lori Edih. I'm 21 years old and happily married. I've been married for exactly three years to my husband Ron Edih. His real name is Ironhide. He's this really tall Cybertronian. His planet was destroyed in a war against the Decepticons, our enemy. So, he came here to Earth to find the cube to restore Cybertron. The cube ended up getting destroyed in a battle against Megatron, the leader of the Decepticons.

I have a twin brother. His name is Optimus Prime and he is Cybertronian. His story is different. When he was four, he was kidnapped, tortured, then rescued by a Cybertronian. That Cybertronian brought him to Cybertron. He was given a new body, memories, and a new family. It wasn't until 14 years later that he discovered the truth about himself. That he was born human.

Optimus isn't the only sibling I have. I also have a sister, Annabel. She's 6. When Anna was one, Ironhide had been staying in my room on a cot. Anna had broken it. That event is what led us to start dating and get married. Honestly, I'm happy she destroyed the cot otherwise I wouldn't be who I am today......maybe.

I smiled when Ron woke up and kissed him.

"Morning.", I said, "It's almost 9. You slept in."

"I did?", Ron asked and sat up, "Did Optimus call?"

"No.", I answered, "You expecting a call from him?"

Ron nodded and got out of bed. I watched as he walked into the closet and came out with new clothes. He looked over at me.

"Aren't you getting up?", He asked.

"In a minute.", I said and smiled.

Knowing that I probably would end up falling asleep again, I got up. I walked into the closet and came out with clothes in my hands. I pulled off the clothes I slept in. The whole time I was getting dressed, Ron watched me. Once I finished changing, I walked over to Ron. He brought me close to his bare chest and kissed me.

"I love you.", Ron said when he pulled back.

"I love you too.", I smiled.

I heard Ron's phone ring and went to brush my hair as he talked on the phone.

"Hello? Yeah, we're both up. Okay. As soon as we're ready, we'll head over.", Ron said, "Bye."

"Where are we going?", I asked.

"To base. Optimus wants me to train some new recruits and Ratchet wants to talk to you.", Ron said.

I nodded and we finished getting ready. We headed downstairs and put our shoes on. I noticed that mom, dad, and Anna's shoes weren't here. Dad must be at base and mom must be shopping with Annabel or something. Ron opened the door and we left the house.

I got in the passenger side and Ron got in the driver's side of his alt mode. I watched as the house disappeared.

"I think it's time we got our own place.", I said, "Somewhere closer to base."

"Why is that?", Ron asked and glanced over at me.

"We need our own space.", I said, "Somewhere where we can start a family of our own. Right now, when we try, my dad complains of the noise, Anna is too little, and my mom.....well, let's not even go there. The only time we get time to ourselves is when we drive to base together or when the house is empty."

"Okay, you're right.", Ron said, "Soon as we're done at the base, we can start looking."

I smiled at him. When we arrived at the base, we went our separate ways. The closer I got to the medical bay, the more I realized that the light was off. I stood outside the med bay and waited for Ratchet. I didn't have to wait long.

"Hello, Lori.", Ratchet said, "I have to make a quick stop at the training center before we get started. You can come with."

Ratchet grabbed a tablet from inside the med bay and we walked to the training center.

"Why are the lights off?", I asked.

"I didn't say that the reason we came was for a bot, did I?", Ratchet asked.

I stayed quiet. He was right. Besides, Ironhide was in the human area. He turned the lights on.

"Surprise!"

I gasped and looked around. There were decorations everywhere. There were two banners. One said "Happy Birthday, Lori" and the other said "Happy Anniversary". I smiled and walked toward Dad, Mom, Annabel, Ron, and Orion. Ironhide and Optimus we're in their holoforms. I hugged each one of them. When I got to Ron, I kissed him.

"Thank you. All of you. You know you didn't have to do this.", I said with a smile.

"Yes, we did.", Mom said, "It's your 21st birthday. Your's and Optimus'. Its a big deal."

"Right. Being old enough to drink is a big deal.", I smiled.

"It is!", mom said.

"Okay, mom.", I said, "I'm going to go find Jazz."

I walked through the crowd, searching for Jazz and saying hi to bots along the way.

"Lori!", I turned around and spotted Epps.

"Hi, Epps.", I smiled, "How's it going?"

"Good. Retirement isn't that bad.", Epps said.

"Wait - retirement? When did you retire?", I asked.

"In another 6 years or so.", Epps said, I laughed.

"Hey, is Jazz here?", I asked.

"He was. Should still be here.", Epps said, "I'll help you look."

"Thanks.", I said.

We split up and continued searching. A minute later, I heard a song playing. It wasn't just any song. It was the song Ron and I danced to at our wedding three years ago. I looked at the stage and spotted Jazz's holoform playing the guitar. Unbelievable. I smiled and shook my head. Epps knew exactly where he was, didn't he?

Ron walked over to me and we started dancing to the song, the same way we danced at the wedding. Soon, everyone was dancing. To be on the safe side, the bots used their holoforms to dance around. I spotted Anna having fun and dancing with Optimus and Ratchet. How Annabel go them to dance, I have no idea.  

When the party was over, everyone went back to work. Ron and I left the base and started driving around, looking for a house to call our own. We found a couple that we liked and wrote down the numbers for the realters. Now, all we have to do is call them and tour the houses. This will be interesting.
