Holy crap, I am so so so so so so sorry! It's been FOREVER since I last updated! The ideas from you guys will start on Chapter 10. I wanted to thank all of you who submitted ideas. I will be creating an Authors Note in this book for those of you who have ideas and would like to share! Again, I appreciate all the help!
I arrived at the coordinates given to me by Megatron and transformed. Within seconds, guns were pointed at my helm and spark. I kept calm as the Decepticons behind the guns watched me cautiously. Megatron appeared in the doorway.
"State your designation and profession.", Megatron demanded.
"My designation is DarkShadow. I'm a Decepticon warrior. I first joined two Earth years after the war started. I've been stranded here for quite some time. As I stated over the comm, I have information for you.", I explained.
Thank God for the bots using their terms around us. Otherwise, I would have zilch idea about what Megatron is saying.
"Come inside. Decepticons, stand down.", Megatron ordered.
He made his way toward many long corridors and eventually made his way to the main part of the base. He turned to me, arms crossed.
"What information do you have for me?", Megatron asked.
"As I told you, I've been on Earth for some time. I've had to go from place to place for shelter. I never stayed in one place too long. The other day, I snuck into a military base for the night. The next morning, I was attacked by both human and the Autobots.", I stated, "I know where the Autobot base is."
He smirked darkly as I gave him the coordinates Optimus gave me.
"We must plan our attack. Blackout! Show DarkShadow where she will be staying.", Megatron ordered.
Blackout walked over to me and gave me one look before heading down the hallway. I followed. It took everything I had to not sucker punch him then and there. However, I had to keep my guard up.
When we arrived at the room, I started to make my way inside but quickly turned and blocked Blackout's attack. It was something Optimus taught me years ago before I knew about the Autobots - know your enemy and expect them to attack at any given time. Especially when your back is turned to them.
I smirked at Blackout, "Nice try. I've been training and fighting since I could walk."
He looked afraid for a second then, as fast as it came, it left. I let his fist go and watched him walk off. I closed the door behind me and walked over to my bed. I couldn't help but think of what is going to happen in the future. Not years from now, as close as weeks or days.
I have no idea how long I'm going to be here or how it's going to affect Ironhide. I guess I was thinking more about the mission than my own husband's feelings or what might happen while I'm gone. I decided to check in with Optimus.
"Hey, Optimus. How's life?", I asked as I stared at the wall in front of me.
"Things are slow. Is the plan on motion?", Optimus asked.
"Yes. Megatron plans to attack soon. Probably tomorrow or something.", I answered, "I'll let you know when I have an exact day and time."
"Good luck, Lori. And for the love of Primus, be safe.", Optimus said.
I sighed and paced around the room for a while. Not much to do here in the Decepticon base, is there? I sighed and eventually decided to train. I left my bedroom and headed for the training room. Once there, I spotted Barricade.
"Rookie, right?", Barricade asked when I walked in.
"Hardly.", I answered, "I just got word earlier today that Decepticons were on Earth. I have been with the Decepticons pretty much since the start of the war."
"What's you do?", Barricade asked curiously.
"Hunted Autobots mostly. I somehow fell into an escape pod during one of my missions and was launched off. Probably a traitorous Decepticon. My pod was destroyed upon my arrival here.", I answered.
"So, you've been here for a millennia?", Barricade asked, I nodded, "Since were here, want to spar?"
I nodded again and we both got into fighting positions. Barricade attacked first. He threw a punch with his left hand causing me to block with my right and to knee him in the stomach. He fell over, groaning as I unscathed by blade. I pointed it at his head and he chuckled.
"Not bad.", Barricade said and I put my sword away.
I helped him up, "Not too bad yourself. You keep your right side open too much. Try alternating when you punch rather than just using your dominant servo."
"Who trained you?", Barricade asked.
"My dad mostly. After a few Earth years, my brother joined in. Since the war started, we've been fighting each other. My brother and I.", I explained, "He joined the Autobot cause."
"Ever since Cybertron went dark, more and more Decepticons are joining Optimus. Megatron both hated it and was relieved when the Decepticon samurai left. Drift was a really good fighter. He spoke in poems too much, though. Got on everyone's nerves.", Barricade explained, "You ever think of joining the bots?"
"No. However, I have thought about being neutral. I just want this war to end. Ever since it started. The fact that Cybertron is dark it's.....I can't believe it.", I said sadly.
"You didn't know?", Barricade asked.
"Word doesn't travel that fast when your light-years away from your home planet.", I replied.
I actually did have sympathy for the Autobots and the Decepticons. I had no idea that Cybertron was practically uninhabitable. Optimus and Ironhide never talked about it. Now, I know why...
"Come on. The Energon room should be available now.", Barricade said.
We walked around the base until we can to a room that had no door. Inside, at least a dozen Decepticons were having their afternoon Energon. Barricade walked inside and grabbed two cubes. He handed one of them to me and we sat down.
"I'm just telling you this now because I have a feeling.", I started, "I already have a mate. He's a long way from here though."
"Good to know.", Barricade said and started drinking his Energon.
"DarkShadow.", I looked up and saw Megatron.
"Yes, Lord Megatron?", I asked.
"I am a little skeptical about you. You must prove your worth. And kill an Autobot.", Megatron said.
Inside, I was freaking out. I didn't want to kill one of my friends!
