Sorry it took so long, guys! Chapters are slow coming but, hopefully, it's still good! I've been working on a few other books that may be published soon including a series. I am also working on a book called Identity Crisis on Dreame.com. Anyway, enjoy the chapter!

"Wait.", I grabbed Jolt's arm and he looked at me, the needle inches from my right arm, "Can I have my family with me? Just two."
He looked at Ratchet and the mech nodded. He went to get the two family members that were waiting outside. The second the door opened, the two walked inside and were by my side.
"I thought you were referring to your parents.", Ratchet said as he watched my mom and sister.
"My mom is at home with Annabel and dad is on a mission. You know that. So, I asked Esther and SunBurst.", I reminded him with a smile.
"Well, they won't be able to be with you the whole time. While you're under, they'll have to wait outside but when you wake, they will be back.", Ratchet told me, I nodded.
Jolt administered the sedative into my arm and I was out.
Hours later, I finally woke up. I had to quickly shut my eyes.
"Why do my eyes hurt?", I asked.
"You've never used them.", Ratchet responded, "The surgery was successful. Your sparkbeat increased dramatically and I had to ask Esther and SunBurst if either knew why. Esther told me it was just a sparkfear, as we call it. If you don't mind telling me, what exactly was it about?"
"The whole situation with you, Ironhide, and Optimus during and after the battle when I was with the 'cons.", I explained and he knew instantly, "I've been having it since that day."
"Why haven't you said anything?", Ratchet asked.
"Because I was afraid of what might happen. You don't know the words Optimus said to me nor how I felt when I saw Ironhide hurting because of me. You have no idea what I went through during those 6 months of no contact with the Autobots.", I answered as calmly as I could.
"Okay, well, you get some rest. When you wake up, SunBurst and Esther can help you learn to use your new body.", Ratchet said, "Or I can, if you want."
I nodded and fell asleep for a while. I woke up 2 hours later. This time, Esther and SunBurst were by my side.
"Hey, you ready to try and walk?", SunBurst asked, I nodded.
I sat up and got off the bed. I started to fall but Esther helped me regain balance. They taught me how to walk again and taught me about my new body. There were a few things I was surprised to hear about that I won't name just yet - if at all. When I scanned a 2020 GMC Canyon, I walked out to the main hanger with SunBurst and Esther right behind me.
"Optimus, what do you think?", I grinned.
He looked at me and his eyes went cold. He pulled out his blaster and aimed it at my head. I froze as fear consumed me.
"Get out, Decepticon.", Optimus growled in a tone I've never heard before, "NOW!"
I jumped and transformed as tears ran down my face.
"Fire! Fire, wait!", Esther called as I sped out of the base, "FireBlazer!"
Ironhide's POV
I smiled as I paced the floor of my shared berthroom. I had it all planned out. Lori and I are going to spend the day together. That is, if I find her. I've asked around and no one but Ratchet knows where she is. He isn't telling me anything, only that she has a surprise for me. There's a lot of things Lori considers surprises - a new dress, a dinner date, a new food for me to try, new hair color - the possibilities are almost endless. I stop pacing when I spot Jazz passing my berthroom.
"Jazz, have you seen Lori?", I asked.
"Not since she went to visit Ratchet. Ironhide, you have to relax. I know you're excited but come on!", Jazz grinned, "Oh, your sire and Spades are in the training room. Your sire said something about training today."
"Thanks, Jazz.", I grunted and he walked off.
I made my way toward the training room. Since the talk with Lori, I've come to terms that this may be my real family. Although, I am still on guard. You never know when you could have a Decepticon in disguise. Speaking of, I wonder what my old friend, Bulkhead is up to. Haven't seen him in centuries. Come to think of it, I haven't seen much of Wheeljack, either. Knowing those two, the fools are likely hitting every Decepticon base on every planet.
When I reach the training room, I could hear metal clashing.
"That's it! Keep it up, Spades!", my sire yelled, "Come on, harder!"
I peek inside and see my sire on his knees, servos up in the air as Spades punches his open hands with as much force as he could.
"You're stance is off, Spade.", I call as I lean against the doorframe.
"Hidey!", Spades cheers and runs toward me.
"Hey, Ironhide. Have you seen your carrier and Esther?", sire asked, I shook my head.
"No, why?", I ask.
"Your carrier and I are supposed to be going out for a drive soon and Esther was supposed to get Lily an hour ago.", sire said.
"I don't know what's going on. I haven't seen Lori all day today nor have I seen Esther and. . . carrier.", I hesitated a little.
"They're in the med bay.", Spades said.
"Spades, why didn't you say anything sooner?", sire asked.
"Nobody asked me.", Spades shrugged.
Sire and I looked at one another and we headed for the med bay. I held Lily in my arms as sire held Spades' servo. There were a lot of Autobots around and the young bot could get lost easily. When we got to the main hanger, I spotted a red and black femme standing in front of Optimus, smiling. Her optics were a maroon red with some hints of blue. I searched her for a symbol but didn't find one. Suddenly, as if she were Unicron, Optimus aimed his blaster at her.
"Get out, Decepticon.", Optimus growled in a dark tone, "NOW!"
The femme jumped and backed away from him, all happiness seemed to fade. She transformed into a beautiful red 2020 Canyon with black flames on the doors and sped off.
"Fire! Fire! Fire, wait!", Esther yelled, "FireBlazer!"
I turned to sire after getting an idea, "She may have gone home."
"Home?", sire asked, "What home?"
"The house we built. My wife may have went to our house.", I said, "Come on."
We transformed and Spades climbed in my bed as carrier walked over to Optimus angrily and started yelling at him for being so self-centered and scrap. I ignored her and we went home, the unfamiliar femme forgotten. I had to get home. I had to see if my Lori was safe.
