Tonight is the Children's Hospital Gala. I will say it has helped me keep my mind of Edward. But I also forgot to get a dress for the Gala, which I only now realized when I got home, and I did not have enough time to buy one. I guess I'm just going to have to wear one that I already own. They're not bad but I don't believe any are good for this occasion. Some that where pretty enough were too long, which is not good considering I'm going to be walking a lot tonight, others were too short, good enough for a party but not a Gala. Then I noticed something on my bed, there was a big box with a gold ribbon and a note. I opened the note and read it 'C U 2NIGHT' it had a kiss mark at the bottom. I opened the box to find a dress with pretty designs, of course she would. Still it was too pretty for me not to wear it, even if it was from her.

~Rose's Gala outfit
It took me about two hours, but I was ready and hurried to the Gala since I had to be there before it began. When I got there, I rechecked everything to make sure everything was in order. It was almost time for the Gala to start and I just had to make sure the magician was set up. Then Lee came rushing at me.
"Rose! We can't find the magician, we're pretty sure he cancelled."
"What!? This can't be happening Oh my God." I took a deep breath before I started having a panic attack, "Okay we should try looking for someone that can step in. I'm sure someone won't mind after all it is the Children's Benefit. Don't worry Lee everything will be fine." I tell her wanting to reassure her.
"You're right" she sighed, "Everything will be fine."
"You look really pretty by the way." I said wanting to take her mind off of things.
"Thanks. You do to. You ready to perform."
" Absolutely. Tonight, is going to be perfect." I tell her giving her a small hug.

The Gala had already started but thankfully one of the volunteers said someone came to step in for the magician. I found it strange that he just came so quickly, and we didn't even call him. But we were lucky that we found someone, so I just blamed it on the nerves. I walked around making conversation with people, but I couldn't stop looking over my shoulders feeling someone looking at me. I saw Bruce Wayne enter and Lee and I went up to him.
"Hi I'm Rosabelle Darling and this Lee Thompkins."
"We work with James Gordon. He's mentioned you and we saw you and we thought..."
"Of course. It's very nice to meet you both." he said shaking our hands.
"Nice to meet you." we tell him in return.
"This is my guardian, Alfred Pennyworth." motioning to the British man next to him.
"It's an absolute pleasure." he said directing it to Lee.
