I was running.

Running from who specifically ? I didn't really know.

Running to where? I didn't know either.

All I knew was that I was running, running from these masked men in black outfits, their eyes glinting as they approached me only seconds before.

I turned around the corner at the end of the street, only to bump into another masked man, probably from the same group of men, his eyes glinting too.

"Well, What do we have here?" He said, his voice deep, husky yet emotionless.

"A pretty girl, walking the streets alone at night. Surely your Mummy told youth never do that." Another man said. There was five of them, all towering over me, one pushed me to the ground with a kick at my thigh.

"Fuck." I muttered, that was some hard kick.

I was only going out to buy some food from the shop, probably ramen or something.
What did anyone do to deserve this harassment?

"Can you just let me go?" I asked, my voice coming out more fiercely than usual, which surprised both me and them.

"Feisty are we?" The tallest asked me, earning myself another kick to the leg.

"How about this pretty girl gives us what we want, and we'll let you get on with whatever you were doing, sweetheart?" One man said, I was
gagging as he touched my cheek.

I slapped him, kicking him in the nuts, before one restrained me, digging his nails into my arm, drawing blood.

"Oh darling, did you really just do that?" The man asked, scoffing at me. He then looked at his 'henchmen' and nodded.

Soon enough, they were kicking me, stripping me of my clothes before they ran away, taking my purse, which only had 10,000 won in it, thankfully, and leaving me lying on the street.

I was bleeding out of my limbs, but not enough so that I would need stitches. I had a lot of bruises though, that would be much harder to cover up.

I got up slowly, my whole body aching as I ran back to my house.

"(Y/n)?" My next door neighbor Changbin asked me as I got to my porch, realizing I didn't have a key.

The plant pot.

"Fuck." I said to myself, Changbin was seeing me half naked, bruises and bleeding.

"What happened?" He asked quietly, his voice was never this serious. I always saw him being cute, laughing or moaning when he was at school with his group of friends.
A concerned Binnie didn't sit well with me.

I grabbed the key from the plant pot and unlocked my front door, my mum was at work and Hyunjin was at Seungmin's house.

I was about to close the door when Changbin's foot got in the way.

For such a small child he was very strong, and I couldn't close the door.

"What happened?" He asked, slightly more angrily.

"Go away." I asked, running upstairs in pain, as he closed my front door behind him.

"(Y/N)!" He shouted up, taking off his shoes and coming upstairs.

I went into my bathroom, my eyes pricking with tears.

Fuck, my arms hurt.

I had a shower, Changbin stopped shouting and I wondered what he was doing.

My blood had washed away and now you could see the multiple bruises along my arms and legs, torso and my face. I had one big one on my eye, making me look like an idiot with one super big swelling eye.

I went to my room, which thankfully didn't have Changbin inside, where was he anyway, and changed.

I wore leggings and a hoodie, socks and mask before leaving the room. It didn't disguise my big purple eye, but covered everything else.

I opened my bedroom door, seeing a smol Changbin sitting next to the door.

I'm so fucking embarrassed.

Why does he have to see me like this?

"Tell me what happened." He said, he looked both angry and upset.

"I was assaulted." I said, telling him the fucking dumb ass story, god, I hated those men, but considering some people put up with that bitchy ness and abuse every single day, how the hell can they live with it, I made a promise to myself I would not moan as much as I wanted to, if not at all.

"Are you in pain? Do you need an ice pack? Are we going to go the police? What do you want?" He asked so many questions at once, I had to take a moment to process.

"Firstly, yes I am in pain, but I'm alright. Secondly, yes, I would very much like an ice pack. Thirdly, yes, those fucking pieces of shit deserve to be fined at the very least, put in prison, whatever it takes to stop them assaulting people. Finally, I want to cry." I said, he took it all in, processing it for a few seconds like I had done.

"Then cry." He said, seeing me tear up as he ran downstairs.

Changbin was the sort of person who had a stone cold face most of the time, the only other side to him he let out with his friends. It was weird to see him so caring, and he quickly returned with a tea towel and ice pack.

How did you-?" I started to ask.

"If it's anything like my house, the ice packs are stored in the freezer." He said sarcastically, "And I just happened to know your fridge-freezer is in the same place mine is."

I nodded, beginning to cry as I put the ice pack to my face.

He patted my back slowly, as I engulfed him into a hug.

Changbin and I used to talk every day, then he met his new friends and we drifted apart. I care for him even though we are not that close anymore, I hope he does too.

He drew circles on my back with his finger, even writing words, 'It's alright.', 'Binnie Binnie's here', which made me laugh silently.

I was crying out of pain, relief that I found Changbin rather than anybody else for some reason, confusion, anger and finally happiness to know Changbin did care.

"Let it all out (y/n). I'm not going anywhere till you do." He said, his hand smoothing my hair and I felt his warmth for the first time in a long while, his voice soothing me.
