Round Six, Prologue

"Bounceleaf...?" Quailstar breathes.
The cream she-cat lies at the entrance of the camp. There are no cuts, blood, or anything. Her neck is twisted at a strange angle. Broken.
"Is...is she dead?" Olivespot questions, looking up at her leader. Tears brim at her eyes. "Please, tell me she's not dead!"
Quailstar presses her paw against Bounceleaf's chest, then shakes her head solemnly. "I'm sorry."
Olivespot crumbles, a sobbing mess on the camp floor. Stormbird sadly sits down next to her, wrapping his tail around  her back.
Redsplash and Darkmeadow stand together in the back, while Oakleopard paces around.
Pinewhisker pads up to Quailstar's side. "It's too clean to have been an animal," she says.
"Well then what was it?" The gray leader asks.
Pinewhisker shakes her head, but the notices something scratched into the dirt beside Bounceleaf's body.
"CAT" it reads.
"Cat?" Pinewhisker asks, her voice quavering. "Then it was one of us...."
Quailstar's eyes widen. "Oh, StarClan...."
"It was one of us?" Olivespot sobs. "How? Why would anybody do that?"
Oakleopard keeps pacing. "I don't know!" He says, looking up. "One of us has to have had...I don't know, a motive?"
Redsplash sighs. "Well, does anybody remember if somebody had a fight, or maybe a grudge against Bounceleaf?"
Darkmeadow blinks sadly. "No, I don't think so."
Pinewhisker turns around, her gaze piercing through Olivespot. "Olivespot and Bounceleaf weren't exactly on speaking terms after the gathering," she spits.
The gray she-cat looks up, the fur under her eyes matted with tears. "Are you serious, Pinewhisker?" She cries, her tail lashing. "Bounceleaf is my sister!" She pauses. "...was my sister."
"Well I think-"
"Enough!" Stormbird bellows, standing up. "We can't be pointing claws right now! Bounceleaf is...dead, and we have to respect her passing!" He looks toward Quailstar for approval.
She nods. "Yes, we will bury her and hold a silent vigil for our lost clanmate, Bounceleaf."

Yes, Bounceleaf wasn't any of you. I just wanted to make sure nobody died right away. You may deliberate in the comments who you think it might be, and that will be accounted for in the first chapter! Bye, now!
