Jughead takes me back to his trailer along with Toni.

Toni tells us that The Gauntlet is on a whole other level. While they talk, I just think back to when Sweets and I had the kiss...

Why had he just wanted a kiss? Why didn't he want the same thing I would get? Maybe he's just a horny bastard. Yeah! That has to be it.

"You join us, you gotta be willing to die for us. Because we will for you. And your Northside friends? Your loved ones? You're gonna look up one day, and they're all gonna be gone, because that's what happens when you join a gang. The Serpents are no exception." 

"I'm ready." I say proudly

"Me too." Jug agrees

"I've never felt this at home anywhere. Even in my own house. Sure, I love dad and Archie, even if he's a brat, but this-this is where I belong," I tell Toni 

She nods, happily.

 I was ready for whatever they were going to do. If I just need to prove my loyalty to them, I'll do anything.

    "Archie..." I could hear Jughead say outside 

Archie? What's he doing here?

"We gotta talk, Jug."

I walk outside to see Arch as if he's really contemplating something.

"Uh, now is really not a good time, okay? You gotta go."

"Yeah, Arch you should leave..." I quietly say, biting my lip because I could see Sweets coming closer by the second

"Why, what's going on?"

"What the hell do we have here? Your brother bothering you (Y/n)?" Sweet Pea cuts in

"Just leave him, all right?" I walk to him, almost pleading in my mind

"Wait. You two are friends with these thugs?" Archie asks in an accusing tone

"Archie, don't call them thugs. Also, why would you care? It's not like you cared about my life up until this point," I reveal, sadly

"Are you two joining the Serpents?"

"If they survive, and go ahead and call us thugs one more time." Sweets sneers

"Jug, (Y/n), these are the guys who attacked us. Who attacked Reggie, and Veronica and Dilton. Our friends," Archie tries to explain

"Archie, you were the one who dragged me here to tag their property. YOU were the one who pointed a gun at Sweet Pea's face. When did you even start caring about Reggie? And for godsakes! Doiley stabbed himself! I've never felt at home back there! Guess what? I do here! So take your ass home and tell dad if you want! Tell anyone! I really don't give a shit anymore!" I scream, full on sobbing and in hysterics. Fangz took me to his and Sweet's side

I lean my body against Sweet's bike while I cry into his built chest.

What the hell? Why am I thinking about this now? I literally need help. 

"I came here to tell you to stay away from Betty. She doesn't want to see you anymore," Archie tells Jughead, breaking his heart in the process

"Screw you, I just saw Betty yesterday, she was fine." 

"No, dude. She's been wanting to break up with you for weeks. She's been agonizing over it. Since you crossed the dark side, she couldn't bring herself to do it."

"So she sent you? Betty would never do that!" Jug argues, clearly upset.

"If you don't believe me, then call her. And feel free to tell her you're a Serpent now, too. I bet she'll love that. She saw where you were headed, Jughead. We all did and she knows you can't be with them, and with her. Come on, man. You know it, too," Archie finalizes

"Tell Betty I got the message."

"Yeah," Archie ends, leaving-leaving me, Jughead, and our lives.

"What? Did you enjoy the show?" Jughead asks fiercly

"The show hasn't even started yet," Sweets answered. 

I went back to Jughead's side and hug him. He was feeling the exact same pain as me, if not worse. We both never fit in back there, but here, this is our home.
