My knuckles hit the door and I hear a "coming", which I assume is Dipper. He opens the door and a smile appears on his face as he sees me, "Hey" I nervously say still not prepared for today. "Come in, Mabel and Candy are upstairs, we're just waiting for one person now," he says gesturing to the stairs. I nod and make my way there.
I find Mabel's room and walk in, "H-hi guys". Mabels face lights up, meanwhile, Candy's expression changes dramatically. "You made it!" Mabel's says enthusiastically, "come sit down". I nod and make my way over to a spot on the floor, "you came just in time, we are talking about boys" Candy squeals, suddenly sweat starts to form on my forehead. This isn't good, "so Pacifica, got any crushes?" I start to panic and look up to Mabel who seems to be looking away, huh? I thought she was going to be boy crazy like when she was 12. "I-I d-don't like anyone," I say desperately, but the grin on Candy's face grows. "Just leave her be" Mabel orders suddenly, both me and Candy look at her, confused. The brunette turns in the desk chair furiously towards Candy looking her in the eye. "She answered, so leave her alone," Mabel says with a strict tone, why does Mabel seem do mad?
Our disagreement gets interrupted by a sudden knock, the three of us get up and head downstairs assuming its Dippers friend. We walk into the kitchen to find Dipper talking to a tall, blonde man with bright green eyes. In the corner of my eye, I see Candy's face go extremely red, Dipper notices us and gestures for us to come, sit at the table.
I find a spot next to Dipper and Candy. "I would like to introduce you all to Brett," Dipper says, "Brett, this is Mabel, Pacifica, and Candy", Brett smiles at me and Candy, I just nod in return and Candy waves still looking flustered. Dipper continues explaining what we're doing today, meanwhile, I notice the new guy trying to silently hit on Mabel. I feel a tint of anger boil inside me, I look at Brett fiercely signaling him to listen. He immediately obliges looking a bit shocked, Mabel mouths a thank you from the other side of the table. That's what he gets.
