With a large smile on his face, he parks and exits the car. I do the same, watching his every movement carefully. "So what do you think?" he asks, I avert my gaze from him to a large and fancy restaurant, filled to the brim with rich people. All of a sudden a wave of insecurity runs through me, as I look down at my casual attire.
Brett doesn't seem to notice my concern and walks right in. "The table reserved under Dowson, please", the man at the front desk nods and calls over another employee. Soon we're sitting at our table, totally out of place in the room full of designer suits and expensive dresses. I examine the restaurant around me, how does a dude with a car like that afford a place like this? I notice that its impossible to tell who's sitting in front or behind you, due to the sofa like chairs we're sitting on. "So you like it?" Brett asks interrupting me, "it's nice but not my kind of place..." I say getting more uncomfortable by the minute. Before our conversation can continue the waiter comes over and asks us what we want to eat.
The night is mostly Brett bragging and asking stupid questions... until he combines both those. "You know if you date me, you could get this sort of treatment all the time," he says, a smirk pulling at his lips, did he not hear what I said before? "It's not about money, it's about personality". "but I have a great personality too, plus I'm hot, sexy and sometimes I can even be cute too!" he says enlarging his ego immensely if that's even possible. "I can get all that times a thousand times from Pacifica, y'know" I say, just letting my thoughts slip out of my mouth. "The mean, little blonde girl?" he replies with a 'seriously?' expression, "well I have something she doesn't, that all girls love, it's called a d-", "KID-FRIENDLY!" I yell in reply, he frowns and places the last piece of food on his plate in his mouth.
Finally, the horrible night ends and I walk into Dippers room, falling on to his bed. "How did you become friends with that jerk?", "a day after we arrived I found him drunk on the side of the road and I pitied him, so I picked him up and drove him home and from there he kept on buggung me until I agreed we become friends," my favorite brunette (besides myself) says not looking away from his book.
"He's really annoying"
"Indeed, he is"
