chapter 37

(Charles POV) 

I was sitting in the hospital room with Allie and Aiden when all of a sudden, Aiden started to choke. He spit and coughed. I jumped up and pressed the "Call Nurse" button a million times until a nurse finally came in. I worriedly pointed to his incubator and they went to work. 

They said that liquid got in his oxygen tube and now there was water in his lungs.  

He had to have surgery to get it out but he may not survive.  

Allie cried into my chest. 

"I just want mt baby boy to healthy." She sobbed.  

I lifted her up by waist and looked her in the eyes.

"Allie I am going to do whatever I can to keep him alive. However sleep deprived I get, I will fight. However money it will take, I will take. Whatever I can do for my baby boy, I will fight for his life." 

"I love you so much, babe." Allie gave me a kiss. 

"I love you too." 

I kissed her back. 

With that, Aiden went into surgery. 

(Reagan's POV) 

"REAGAN PACK A BAG QUICK! I'M TAKING YOU TO THE HOSPITAL!" Mom yelled from downstairs. 

Immediately after she said that I knew it was Aiden.

I grabbed enough clothes for 5 days and all the things I would need. 

I put on my chucks and raced downstairs. 

We sped to the hospital. 

Once we arrived, I hugged my mom goodbye and rushed to the room with tears in my eyes. 

I burst through the door. 

"Is he ok?" I cried. 

Dad came by and wrapped his arms around me. 

"He's still in surgery." Dad said with tears in his eyes. 

I looked up at him and I could tell he had been crying. 

His eyes were all red and puffy. His face looked all droopy. 

The way he looked made me even more upset. 

"I'm so sorry, dad. You don't deserve this." 

He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around him. 

"It's going to be ok baby girl." 

I rested my head on my dad shoulder and he kissed my head. 

(Allie's POV) 

It was now midnight and Reagan and Charles were sleeping. 

I kept checking by the front desk to see when Aiden would be out of surgery. 

I sat there anxious until the doctor walked in. 

He talked about the surgery but all I cared about were the next words that came out of his mouth. Whether my baby was going to make it or not.  

"Charles and Allie, Aiden is..."
