chapter 33

(Reagan's POV)

I slept over at Ansley's house last night. I woke up at 11:00 that morning because we had went to bed at 3:45.

My dad was getting me at noon and we were going to Allie's appointment.

I woke up Ansley and we got breakfast, got ready, and I texted my dad letting him know that we were up.

"So do you like Allie?" Ansley asked.

"Yeah I love her."

"Really? I don't."

"Why she's amazing?"

"Because she replaced your mom that's why I don't like her. Your mom is better."

"Excuse me? My mom was a bitch to me and her stupid boyfriend is trying to replace my dad!"

"Well I think that she is trying to hard to be your mom!" Ansley was raising her voice.

"Well guess what?!" I grabbed my bag and stood in the doorway.

"What?!"

"I love her and she is so much nicer than my mom! I'm LEAVING!"

"AND DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING BACK!"

"FINE."

I ran out of her house crying right as my dad was pulling up.

I ran to his arms and cried into his chest.

"What's the matter baby girl?"

"Ansley made fun of Allie and made her seem like a jerk. So we fought and she told me never to come back."

I sobbed into my dad.

"Shhhh. It's ok Reagan. You'll be fi-"

"NO. EVERYONE HATES ME!"

I jumped out of his arms and screamed.

"WHY DO I KEEP MESSING UP!"

"Reagan." Dad walked up to me.

"No. Get away. I'll probably make you hate me too."

I just collapsed and cried into my knees.

"Reagan you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you so much and I will never ever hate you."

"Thank you dad. I love you. Let's go to the doctor."

He kissed me on my head and we got in the car.

We were sitting in the room waiting for the doctor when my dad spoke up.

"Reagan," dad grabbed Allie's hands," we have something to tell you."

"What?" I asked confused.

"We're getting married." Dad and Allie said in unison.

"What?!" I asked surprised.

I ran up to them and hugged them so tight.

"I love you guys so much." I whispered into them.

"I love you too." Dad and Allie whispered back.

We hugged until the doctor came in but I didn't care what he was saying. I was just thinking about the marriage. I was so happy.

I was happy until the doctor gave the ultra sound.

(Allie's POV)

It was my first appointment and the doctor was giving me the ultra sound. I was holding Charles' hand and biting my lip nervously.

We waited for an eternity until the doctor sighed.

"I can't seem to find the heartbeat. Let me get a nurse in here." The doctor walked out of the room and I cried.

I looked at Charles.

"Allie whatever happens I will love you no matter what." Charles leaned over and gave me a long kiss. He wiped my tears and kissed me one last time.

I was so lucky to have someone as amazing as him. I loved him and Reagan more than the world. It was like she was my own kid. And I loved her so much.

I wasn't paying attention to what they were saying until I saw the nurse shake her head.

"I'm sorry Mr. and Mrs. Trippy but, your baby has died." The nurse sighed and let us figure out what we were going to do. They called Charles into the room to talk.

I sat up and sobbed into my hands. My baby was gone and there was nothing I could do about it.

I looked up when I felt two small arms wrap around me. It was Reagan.

"It's going to be ok. I love you." Reagan whispered.

"Thank you baby girl. I love you so much." I replied back.

We pulled back and Reagan spoke.

"You know I feel like you are more like my mom than my mom is."

"You know Reagan, I feel like you are my actual daughter also. And I love you so much, but so does your mom. And I bet she really misses you. I think you should call her and ask her to come get you."

Reagan sat there and sighed.

"Okay."

(Reagan's POV)

Texted mom and asked her to pick me up from the doctor. I said goodbye to dad and Allie and walked outside.

So many thoughts were running through my head right now but two really stuck out.

I love my mom.

I miss my mom.

Before the divorce and our incident, we had a special connection and I didn't want to break that. I loved my mom and I didn't want to push her out of my life. I need to learn to forgive. And that is exactly what I plan to do.

After my thought, I looked up and mom was pulling up.

(Alli's POV)

I pulled up to the doctors and sighed. I saw my beautiful daughter look up at me.

She too sighed and looked like she was preparing herself for the worst.

I got out of the car and walked to the passenger door.

Reagan looked as though she was holding in tears.

Then the unthinkable happened.

She ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug ever.

"I'm so sorry mom. For everything," Reagan cried into me," this is all my fault. I love you so much."

"I love you too Reagan. I love you too."

We hugged for forever and we finally got into the car.

"Where's Rick?" Reagan asked.

"I broke up with him. He was only using me for my money."

"Really? I'm sorry mom."

"It's ok baby girl. I'm just happy to have my daughter back."

We smiled at each other and hugged one last time.

I love my daughter.
