Gordon’s P.O.V
“Gordon you had your chance” A voice that was definitely Craig’s spoke, “Now it’s my turn to try to be the guy for Dawn.”
“You set me up!” I yelled “You put something in my drink!”
“Even if I didn’t it was bound to happen...” Craig replied “I mean you came to my party instead of staying with Dawn when she needed you the most.”
I sat in my car with the phone to my ear not knowing how to retaliate.
“Guess who was there when she was confused about how she felt about the whole situation.” Craig paused “Me not you!”
With that he hung up. What the hell did I do? I hurt the one I loved the most. I screamed and hit the steering wheel.
Craig was right, if I hadn’t gone to the stupid party I wouldn’t be in this situation. If I just stayed with Dawn everything would be fine, but no anger got the best of me.
Dawn’s P.O.V
Craig came back from outside the diner talking to Gordon on my cell phone. He sat opposite from me in the booth. He took my hands in his and smiled.
“What happened?” I asked
“Oh umm Gordon is just trying to blame everything on me.” Craig said nervously “It’s his fault because he came to the party instead of being with you right?”
I nodded and he slouched down in his seat and looked down at the ground, “Or is it my fault for not looking out for him?”
I got up from my side of the booth and sat next to Craig. He turned to look at me.
“It’s not your fault for his actions..” I began but then I was suffocated by Craig hugging me and burying my face into his chest.
“So…. Where do we stand?” Craig asked anxious to hear my answer.
I began to think “Me and you are…”
I froze when I saw the last person I wanted to see at the entrance.
