"Surprise!" We all scream as Eli walks into her house. She places her hand on her chest with a huge smile on her face.
"Was this your idea?" She smiled widely as I walk up to her giving her a big hug.
"Yes. Happy 2 months and happy birthday beautiful." I press my lips to her cheek quickly so she could say hi to everyone. I invited all of her friends from Texas, our friends from Coachella and her model friends. It was funny seeing her stand next to them because they towered over her since she was only 5'8.
"Sammy!" She squeals as she sees Sammy talking to his girlfriend Ayanah. We introduced them at an after party for my album release a few months ago and they instantly clicked. Honestly I was happy that Sammy finally got over Eli and they could be true best friends. I walk up behind Eli wrapping my arms around her waist resting my chin on her shoulder as she ate some sour rainbow belts.
"Hey Nathan." She looked up at me smiling.
"Having fun?"
"Loads!" She kissed my cheek and continued her conversation with Sammy and Ayanah. The front door opens and we all turn to see Shawn and Hailey come in. My blood instantly boils when I see him.
"What are you doing here Mendes?" I let go of Eli and walk up to him.
"Chill I heard about the party so I came to bring her a gift. She was my friend not too long ago." He set a few boxes on the couch and walked out of the house slamming the door loudly. I turned to see Eli had left and I assumed she had gone to her room. I walked up the stairs and went to her room and straight to her bathroom. I opened the door slowly to see Eli curled into a ball in her bathtub. I squat down in front of it and run my fingers through her soft curled hair.
"He's gone."
"Why did he have to embarrass me like that?" She looks up with red eyes.
"Because he's him. Don't worry you have me." I give her a soft smile before she stands up and hugs me tightly.
"I love you." She mumbled into my chest.
"I love you more." I kiss the top of her head as her breathing begins to slow.
"I want some cake." She looks up at me with a whine.
"Then lets get you some cake." I poke her nose.
"What kind did you get?"
"German chocolate and red velvet."
"Layers?"
"3 each. Do you see how many friends you have." I chuckle and she smiles.
"My favorite cake. My favorite boy and especially my favorite cakes."
"You're a dork." I roll my eyes as she steps out of the tub and follows me back downstairs.
"The birthday girl is here!" Lauren yells as they set the cakes down. We all begin to sing as Eli sat smiling watching everyone. When the song ended she blew out the candles excitingly while we clapped our hands.
"What'd you wish for?"
"I'll tell you if it happens. It'll come I'm sure" She smirks.
