"Babe it's almost midnight can you please open your gift?" I whine as Eli wipes down her countertops. She looks up at me and shakes her head smiling.
"Alright! Alright! Get this amazing gift you have and come on." She went and sat on the couch pulling a blanket over her lap. I went to her backyard where Sammy stood holding the little crate along with two giant bags. I take the stuff from him and thank him for helping me with it and he leaves.
"Close your eyes baby." I say as I walk in the house. I turn the corner to see Eli with her eyes squeezed shut. I set the crate on the ground and opened the door to allow the blue French bulldog to run around. She opened her eyes to meet with the dog and she just about bursted my ear drums.
"ITS SO CUTE!" She screamed pulling the dog into her lap and petting him.
"There's more. I got some stuff for him and this for you." I pull out the small box and Eli's face switches to confusion. She opened the box slowly to reveal the silver ring with a small diamond in the center.
"Nate-"
"I said I was going to love you hard and I want to prove it by promising my love to you." I smile and pulls me by my collar towards her kissing my lips.
"You are unreal."
"You are mi amor. The most beautiful sunflower in all of the fields." I kiss her knuckles and her cheeks turn red.
"I love you."
"I love you so much more." I say pulling some of her hair behind her ear.
"Kurt."
"Pardon?"
"Kurt. That's his name."
"Like Nirvana Kurt?"
