Last chapter now, I felt a bit emotional writing this. I hope you have enjoyed it, and realise how the name of the fan fiction suited the story, from how she never thought she was good enough, and never believed in herself, until she met The Doctor. Chapter 22
Harriets point of view.
I woke up in the TARDIS, the doctor lying next to me. I looked down to where the shot was, and there was nothing there. ‘’Healing medicine’’ The Doctor said smiling, wearing a white and black suite with a purple bow tie and top hat. I hugged him tight and asked him what happened. ‘’Well River shot you, then I started becoming overpowered by love, things like that happen when Time lords get strong feelings, and then I gave you 200 years of my life’’ He said pushing my scraggly hair behind my ears.
‘’But Doctor? Won’t that mean you’ll die soon?’’ I said, worried but thankful at the same time. ‘’No, no, I still have loads more years left in me, about 500 acctually’’ He said laughing. ‘’Anyway come along Williams’’ He said, pulling me up, ‘’Where we going?’’ I asked as he dragged me into our room.
There was a beautiful dress on my bed, white with a little bow tie at the top, the same as The Doctors. ‘’Oh Doctor! Thank you, and look at the little bow tie’’ I said laughing, and he began to laugh with me. I got dressed into it, and then put my hair up into a messy bun, leaving little curly bits down. When I stepped out the bedroom, The Doctor smiled ‘’You look beautiful!’’ He said grabbing my hand.
I wondered what was going on, and followed him to the TARDIS door. When he opened it we were in Mum’s and Dad’s house, in the living room. ‘’SURPRISE! AND HAPPY CHRISTMAS!’’ loads of people said jumping out.
Evreyone was here, Mum, Dad, Grandad, Grandma, Jack; who I didn’t actually mind being there, Lucy all my closest friends and family, and River. She was standing in the corner of the room, looking a big worried. The music started again and I ran up to her, ‘’I’m so sorry!’’ she said starting to cry, and then I hugged her ‘’No, I am, I stole The Doctor of you, I would of the same if someone done it too me, well not the exact same but I would still get mad!’’ I said, releasing. She wiped her tears and smiled, The Doctor came to join us and held my hand, guess River didn’t mind anymore. Then Jack come over ‘’Hello Doctor, Harriet’’ He said in her cheesy American accent, then he turned to face River ‘’Why and hello, we haven’t met before, I’m Jack’’ He said in a flirty way, then grabbing her hand and kissing it. River blushed and they went of together, leaving me and The Doctor shocked.
We looked at each other and began to laugh, then went of the greet everyone else at the party.
‘’Whats the occasion?’’ I asked, smiling, ‘’You! And Christmas of course!’’ He said, grabbing my hand to start dancing. We danced all night when he suddenly stopped and ran into the TARDIS.
When he came back, he soniced the room and the music stopped. ‘’I have something to say’’ He said, walking over to me and smiling.
‘’Over the past few years I have fallen for Harriet, she was my first true proper love, I knew it from when I met her, and I kept breaking her heart. I didn’t know how to handle it, and also it was because I was married to River’’ He said, looking over to River who was kissing Jack in the corner of the room, the Doctor began to laughed and carried on with his speech. ‘’ Yes, well, I couldn’t hide it, and I told her how I felt, then we sat on top of the Gran Canyon, and she told me how she felt, but little did we know, River was standing behind us. We got divorced’’ He said, everyone gasped including Mum, they all turned over to River, who had stopped kissing Jack and was smiling at every one. ‘’Well yes, and then my love for Harriet got stronger and stronger. She is the one. My one!’’ He came over to me and got on his knee’s ‘’So, Harriet Blue Williams, will you marry me?’’ He said smiling and looking into my eyes.
‘’Corse I will’’ I replied, everyone started cheering and The Doctor leaned in, and pushed his soft lips against mine. We were getting married!
