Chapter 14

Chapter 14

I woke up, inside my bunk bed in the TARDIS, I got up and ran into the control room, where The Doctor was underneath the steps, with goggles on, sitting on a swing, fiddling with loads of wires. ''Doctor?'' I said, walking up to him, ''How did I get into the TARDIS?'' I asked, and he took his goggles of and came to hug me.

''I carried you, do you think i'm going to leave you there?'' He said, still holding onto me. When he let go, he grabbed my hand and took pulled me up the steps. ''Where do you want to go then?'' He asked, like nothing had happened. ''America!'' I said with a huge smile on my face. After all that, I was now feeling really really happy.

I ran to get changed into some new clothes, because of my top having blood on it. All the clothes were to big for me, so In the end I wore a old top, with leggings and a belt. I left my room and went back into the control room, and The Doctor was waiting at the TARDIS door. ''Come on then'' He aid, grabbing my hand.

When we stepped outside, and we were in the middle of Washington.Dc. It was defiantly not the 21st century though. There was loads of people, who looked like hippies all round the gardens, swearing a cursing, we turned around to see a huge stage. With more hippie people on. ''We are going to stop this war! The stupid war in Vietnam.''

''Its the 60's during the war of Vietnam!'' The Doctor said, I don't know why he brought me here though, ah well. It is America, after all. The Doctor walked away from the crowd, and into the heap of caravans, covered in flowers. This was just typical hippies. ''Come on Williams'' He shouted, running over to a caravan with hippie clothes for sale outside. ''I never had any of these really funky clothes in the TARDIS!'' He said, picking up some pink round glasses! ''Oh Doctor, don't wear them!'' I said, bursting into laughter.

''Why not? Hippie glasses are cool!'' He replied, making me laugh even harder than before.

''What are we meant to do? We cant go back to them without any humans, he will kill us'' A man said, walking past with another man. The Doctor pulled me behind a caravan, and we crouched down, trying not to get seen. ''But what are we meant to do? We nearly got caught from that man hitting us back there, then they would be more angry, if we gave ourselves away! Remember what happens when we get angry.'' The other man said.

Me and The Doctor looked at each other, something weird was going on round here. ''Shh, someones here,'' One of the men said, looking round, turning round the corner of a caravan towards us. Me and The Doctor turned round the corner of the caravan. ''Found him, little stowaway, GET UP! GET UP!'' One of the men shouted. Me and the Doctor peeked round the corner to see the man grabbing a little boy, who looked about seven. ''Get of me'' The little boy cried, but then the man grabbed him and ran of into the distance.

The Doctor got up to chase him, but they were out of sight. He started turning round, and round with anger. Who ever that little boy was, is not in great danger. ''We will find him!'' I shouted, but The Doctor looked broken.

Then suddenly loads of the hippies starting coming back from the protest. ''Who are you too?'' Said a voice behind us. We turned around to see a tall brown haired man, with a purple headband. ''Sorry, we were... Captain Jack Harkness?'' The Doctor said, like he knew him. The man took of his headband and glasses. ''Yes? And how would you know that?'' He replied, looking kind of confused.

''Its The Doctor, apart from, not the one you know. I regenerated, new body, new me.'' He said, hugging the man, while I just stood there lost. ''Doctor oh my god hi, long time no see, and if you dont mind me saying, you look very dashing'' The man replied; he must be gay. The Doctor smiled, and fiddled with his bow tie. ''Why thank you Jack. Oh by the way, this is Harriet'' He said, grabbing me, ''Hello nice to meet you Harriet!'' The man; Jack, in a flirty way. No wait, he must be bi-sexual. ''Hello'' I said shyly.

''What are you doing here then?'' The Doctor asked Jack. ''People been going missing, came to check it out.'' He said.

''We just saw a little boy about seven get taken away from these two men. They looked quite uncertain to me, you know. Unusual'' I slowly said, wondering if I was doing the right thing in telling him, luckily The Doctor looked as if he was going to tell them anyway, so I was OK.

''Oh ok'' Said Jack ''Right little fighter you got here, Doctor'' he smiled, and The Doctor nodded.

They spent the next few hours catching up, while I couldn't stop wondering about these men who took the little boy. ''Doctor, I think I know where they might be!'' I yelled after thinking for ages, and suddenly a image of a caravan popped into my head.

''How do you know though, unless you are physic?'' Jack said, sarcastically looking at me like I was a idiot. Me and The Doctor looked at him, he must of never heard of me before. ''Haven't you ever heard of the daughter of Time who's spirit could power a TARDIS?'' The Doctor asked and Jacks face dropped. ''You mean, she, is what? Nooo? She is the daughter of time? The girl who every single species out there wants?'' He said, looking at me like I was a museum piece.

He kept staring at me from then, and it really started to bug me. It made me madder and madder until I just burst out with ''Excuse me, Jack. But please may you stop looking at me like that? I am a actual human you know, not some museum piece! So start treating me like one thank you very much'' I shouted, then turned to face the wall when The Doctor raised his eyebrow at me.

''Wow, you are feisty, and it's just because I am shocked that's all!'' He said, smiling but I really didn't like that guy. ''Whatever.'' I said coldly, getting up, to try and find the little boy.

''Where are you going?'' The Doctor asked me, grabbing my arm. ''Going to find the caravan that I recon the people who caught that little boy are in, because you and him look like you couldn't give a dam!'' I said trying to break free.

''Oh no your not going by yourself, remember what happened last time? You ended up getting trapped with the Daleks, And we do care! Its just we haven't seen each other for ages, years in fact.'' He said, standing up. Jack looked at me with shock. ''What happened?'' he asked, but The Doctor turned around, before I got to say anything. ''She blew them up!''

Jack turned to face me, ''Really?'' he said, and I nodded my head. From the looks of it, he was pretty impressed. We got up from the grass and The Doctor and Jack followed me. I looked everywhere for the caravan I had the picture of in my head. We went and looked around for about half an hour. Jack started to doubt that it was here, but The Doctor seemed to keep following, ''That's it! That's defiantly it!'' I shouted pointing at a green caravan, with purple flowers on the side. The windows were black, and the door was covered in newspaper.

''Are you sure?'' Jack said, and I nodded my head. That man is so annoying. The Doctor went up to the door and unlocked it with his screwdriver. Then he went in, and I went after then Jack did. When we went inside there was nothing in there, just 3 doors. It looked really freaky. The Doctor opened the first one, to find a little tiny plain room, with a wardrobe and a bed. The second room had another bed, with another wardrobe. The third was a long stone corridor, with spiders webs and moss covering it.

I started shaking because it was cold, and The Doctor took of his tweed jacket and put it on me, and grabbed my hand. ''So are you too together then?''Jack asked, staring at us. The Doctor just shrugged, and I smiled.

We started to come out the tunnel and then we were inside a big metal room, with a control thing in the middle with a load of buttons and balls on it. The Doctor gasped, ''What have you seen this before?'' I asked looking up at The Doctor, ''Yes, I have,'' he replied, looking worried.

''The Silence?'' I asked, astonished because I don't even know what they are. ''Harriet? How did you know?'' He asked turning around to see me. ''I don't know'' I replied looking over to the machine. Then that's when it happened, I found out my Destiny.
