TWO YEARS LATER

Ava rolled over in bed, smiling at the gorgeous man next to her. "Good morning, husband."

Will grunted his good morning, but in the most adoring way. "Still as beautiful as the day I met you." He brushed her hair behind her ear.

Suddenly, cries of, "Mama!" wafted from down the hall.

"I'll get him!" Will jumped up. Ava rolled out of the bed after him, "But he called for me!"

They both went into their sons room laughing, "Hi, there sweet boy!" Ava cooed.

"Bentley, how about waffles for breakfast?" Will Picked him up flying him around the room like and airplane. The room filled with baby giggles.

At fifteen months old Bentley was extremely bright and very loved. As they all made their way to the kitchen Will sat Bentley in his high chair, giving him a few Cheerios to keep him occupied.

"So, what's on the calendar for today, babe?" He began mixing the batter.

Ava wrapped her arms around him from behind. "I have to go to the Miller's farm to do an ultrasound on a horse. Then the clinic to pick up some paperwork and to the Clover Hill's farm to give shots." She smiled as he turned around for a kiss. "Oh, and One more thing." She walked away, and confusion spread across his face.

"Just let me go change Bentley's diaper, I'll be right back." She blew a kiss over her shoulder and picked Bentley up, talking to him as she took him upstairs.

Will shook his head. How did that woman still get him so fired up? How could he love someone so much? Footsteps on the stairs disturbed his thoughts as he dished out the waffles onto the plates.

"We decided to get all dressed for today too." Ava smiled. "Go show daddy your outfit, Bentley." She sat him on the floor and he toddled over to Will.

Will looked at the onsie Bentley had on. It was new. "Best Big Brother?" Realization hit him like a brick and he picked Bentley up and began dancing with him. "Yay! Bentley's going to be a big brother!"

"Baby." Bentley said and clapped his hands, pointed at Ava.

"I taught him that. I am so surprised he caught on that quick!" Ava laughed as Will swept her up into a hug that turned into a kiss.

"You have given me everything I ever could have asked for, Ava. I hope you know that." Ava smiled at Will's words.

The doorbell ringing surprised them both but Melody simply let herself in, and swept Bentley up and began screaming when she found out she'd be an auntie again. After Kaleb, Melody hadn't been able to trust anyone up until about a year ago.

"Guess the cat's out of the bag." Ava laughed and hugged her best friend. "How are thing's going? You're not usually over here this early."

"Actually, I wanted to know If you'd help me plan my wedding?" Melody looked a little shy about it, and Ava shook her by the shoulders.

"Of course I would! Are you nuts! I've been waiting for this day longer than you have!" Will laughed at the two of them while he helped Bentley figure out the syrup to waffle ratio.

Ava sipped her tea, because she hated coffee, and looked at a few wedding magazines with her best friend, while she watched her husband play with her son in the living room.

This isn't the end, but maybe there are happy endings, she thought.
