Chapter fifteen: SLYTHERIN

I'm currently sitting in the study hall, when the Percy Weasley walks up to us "Dumbledore wants to see you in his office" he announces. Harry goes to stand up but Percy stops him "Not you Potter, Evans" He explains. I nod my head and bid my friends goodbye, Percy and I make our way to Dumbledore's office in utter silence until I break it. 

"how are you and Penelope Clearwater?" I ask him. I hear George and Fred tease him about the Ravenclaw prefect  

"we're doing quite alright, but I've noticed my youngest brother fancy's you" he teases, my cheeks heat up and my hair turns into a bubble gum pink "ah, so you do you like Ron" he remarks, I can't really say anything else because we've reached McGonagall and Snape standing at what looks like a Griffin statue. 

"thank you Mr. Weasley" McGonagall says to Percy, he nods his head and walks back down the corridor 

"Good afternoon Professors" I say and they both nod towards me 

"Lemon Sherbet" McGonagall says to the statue and it opens to reveal and spiraling staircase. we all go up the stairs and reach a large wooden door, Snape pushes it open and I notice Dumbledore is standing near his desk petting a phoenix

"Good Afternoon Miss. Evans" he says while he continues to pet the beautiful creature 

"Hello sir." I say back. I stand between my two head house professors, Dumbledore's phoenix comes flying towards me and perches on my shoulder "Hello" I coo to the creature, it stay's perched on my shoulder. 

"do you know why I called you here, miss. Evans?" Dumbledore asks. I shake my head "I called you here, regarding the incident with your cousin" He explains "Professor Snape told me that you didn't look alarmed or concerned" He says 

"well sir, I happen to have understood James will he talked parstletounge" I explain. The three professors look slightly alarmed and confused "I know lord Voldemort spoke Parseltonue" I say. Dumbledore nods his head "Hermione told James and I just yesterday about the Snake language" I tell him

"Ah. Miss. Granger, she is truly a bright witch, isn't she?" he notes, I nod in agreement and pet the phoenix that is rested on my shoulder. Dumbledore dismisses McGonagall and Snape from his office so we can have a one on one chat and drink tea.

"sir, did you just call me here to ask me about my cousin being a Parselmouth or is there something else?" I question him

"There is indeed something else, I had a chat with the sorting hat and it would like to talk to you once again" he answers. he then gets the Hat off of the tall shelf with the levitation spell. he places it back on my head and the voice of the sorting hat fills my head just like what happened on my first day.

"Ah, Miss. Dursley-Evans"  it states "I did indeed make a mistake on sorting you into two different houses. therefor I will sort you in the house that suits you  more" it explains me "hmm, lets see, not a bad mind, but Ravencalw doesn't seem right, Neither  does Hufflepuff, maybe Gryffindor, that's what you want in your mind, your cousin and friends are in that house, but it isn't it what your heart wants. is it?"  it asks/tells "No, its not, it better be SLYTHERIN!" it yells out. 

"Well miss. Evans, I shall inform professor McGonagall and professor Snape about you only be sorted into Slytherin, I think a change I robes will be needed" Dumbledore waves his wand and I look down to see that my ounce Gryffindor robe and tie is now Slytherin. I nod my head and thank him before walking out of his office. I make my way to the Gryffindor dormitory to retrieve my things. I see all my friends joking around and laughing, I walk by them with my head down trying to be invisible

"Lily!" I hear my name be called out by a certain red head. I slowly turn around and give him a smile "Why are you in your Slytherin robes?" he asks while walking towards me 

"I got re sorted" I tell him "I'm now only in Slytherin, I have to grab my things and bring them to the Slytherin dormitory" I explain. Harry, Hermione,  George and Fred walk up to us 

"Your only in Slytherin now?" James asks, Hermione walks and stands next to me 

"Just because she was put only in Slytherin doesn't change a thing between us, she's still the same  the same person and is still our Lily" Hermione tells them 

"we know" Fred says 

"She's still our little apprentice" George says and they both wrap their arms round me, I smile up at them and wrap my arms around the both of their wastes. "You can be our little spy and tells us about Pansy and Draco and if they snog in the common room" George jokes. Fred nods his head in agreement.

"how do we know your not doing the attacks?" Harry asks me making my eyes go wide at the thought of him thinking of me so poorly

"we grow up together James, you know me better then I do, I know you better then you do" I tell him "Do you really believe I'll turn evil?!" I ask him, he just shrugs and I scoff and storm up the stairs to my room that Ginny and I used to share. I hear foot steps come after me. 

"Lily!" I hear Hermione call my name out, I stop and she turns me around so I'm facing her "Don't listen to him, he's just being a git" She tells me, I burst in tears and she embraces me in a hug, I hug her back and sob into her shoulder "Shh" she sooths and rubs my back "It's going to be okay" she whispers in my ear, I hear the door open to one of the rooms and I hear Ginny's voice ask what the matter is. 'Mione explains t her and Ginn says that she'll help me pack my things. 

"come on Lily" Ginny says and takes my hand in hers, she pulls my trunk from under my bed and helps me put my clothes in it from my wardrobe. when we're done and when the tears stopped coming down my face we make our way down the stairs and into the common room 

"We'll take her" Fred says to Ginny who nods her head, she goes back up the stairs, while the twins and I make our way out of the Gryffindor Dormitory. we walk down the huge changing stairs and into the dungeons where the Slytherin Dormitory's are. We bump into Snape and the twins stop in their tacks 

"Ah, the Weasley Twins and Miss. Evans" he says looking down upon us "now, why would their be three students out of their dormitories at this time of night?" he questions us, Fred and George explain, Snape tells them to leave and that he has it. we walk into the Slytherin dormitory and when we do Draco and River rush to help me take my things to River and I's room. 

"Hey Lily, can I speak to you alone?" Draco asks while side looking at River, River scoffs 

"I'm being kicked out of my own room" he mutters under his breath. I roll my eyes and call out an 'I love you' before he shuts the door 

"what's up Malfoy?" I ask him. He shifts from one leg to the other 

"I'm Sorry" he says 

"Can you elaborate that" I declare. 

"I'm sorry for calling Granger a mudblood. I wasn't really thinking when I said it" he explains a little more "And I'm sorry for being a jerk to you and your friends" he adds on. I hug him and whisper in his ear 

"It's forgotten" 

[A/N: sorry it was a short chapter but I've now got a updating schedule, Saturdays  and Thursdays. I stay at my moms on those days because I have work the next days. I'm sorry for being gone for a while, I'm getting the help I need so I'm feeling so much better...Thank you, love you all!]
