...and his Sparkmate Orchid.😀
Author's Note: Some of these chapters are now going to be either Orchid's or Optimus' point of view. You'll know because I'll put their pictures up before each chapter begins. Since I already put both in, I'll just tell you.
It's Optimus' POV...

I watched Orchid silently as she swung her staff lazily in her servo. Even though she was now far deadlier and looked ever so slightly different, I still loved her with all my spark.
This femme had become the light of my life ever since Ironhide adopted her from an abandoned road. Her very presence could light our darkest hour far brighter than the Matrix of Leadership ever could.
Now, we were standing outside of a large abandoned building in the snow. Lennox and his team had entered the building with protective gear, following a Russian man in black.
There was high radiation here, but it didn't affect me.
I glanced again at Orchid, she seemed fine too.
Suddenly I heard Lennox speaking into my comm.
"Optimus, we've found a Cybertronian device," the man reported,"it looks like an engine part."
Then I heard Lennox mutter,"What's this?"
"Optimus, we're getting a huge heat save," Epps told me.
"It's getting stronger, it's big," Lennox said.
I glanced once more at Orchid, and noticed she was more tense, more alert than she had been before. Her optics were vacant but her long, pointed audios twitched ever so often.
Suddenly she screamed,"Lennox, pull your men out now!"
A huge explosion rocked the building and huge chunks of rock were dislocated and tumbled down on us.
My first instinct was to grab Orchid and my sister and head for cover, but I noticed Orchid was already gone and Aura had flipped away from any near her.
"Where's Orchid?" I asked, worry causing horrible possible scenarios to play through my processors.
"She flew that way before the explosion hit," my sister pointed.
I followed my sister, and almost slammed into her.
"Orchid!" I exclaimed, feeling relieved no harm had come to her, then I noticed she hadn't responded to my voice.
"Orchid?" Aura asked softly, touching her friend's shoulder-plate.
Orchid growled,"He's here."
At first I didn't know what she was talking about, then a huge Cybertron war-worm burst out of the building wall, chasing Lennox and his men out.
I also growled at the repulsive creature, transformed, and chased after it.
I managed to pace the worm, but it suddenly lunged out at me and knocked my trailer, spinning me out of control.
I had no choice but to transform. Luckily, Orchid swooped in and diverted the dumb creature's attention while I grabbed a sword and shield from my trailor. Again many thanks to Jetfire, may he rest in peace.
I roared in anger as one of the giant worm's tentacles smacked Orchid in the side and sent her spiraling away. Nobody hurt my Sparkmate.
I leapt at the worm, and noticed an odd contraption in one of its tentacles. With one swift strike, I severed the tentacle, freeing the contraption from it's claw.
A large compartment in the worm opened up and Shockwave emerged.
I ducked into a roll and growled menacingly. This was the mech who had caused Orchid so much pain in her past.
"Optimus Prime," Shockwave said coldly and he and his worm were gone.
Aura arrived with Orchid leaning heavily on her arm.
"Orchid, are you alright?" I asked, but knew she really wasn't.
"Stupid worm hit me good," she hissed.
I signalled Aura to set Orchid down on the ground then went to check on Lennox and his men.
"What was that thing?" Epps asked.
"That..." I replied, throwing down my sword and shield, still steamed that Orchid was hurt,"was Shockwave."
"Why was he after this?" Lennox asked, observing the contraption.
Now that I had a good look at the machine I was shocked.
"That's impossible!" I gasped, then proceeded to explain to Lennox,"This is an engine part for a ship long lost."
"The crazy old mech?" Aura shouted to me.
"Watch Orchid," I snapped, fresh anger washing over me.
I was not in a good mood.

Later, at the base, I was sulking around my berth-room(something I don't usually do), when Orchid knocked on the door and poked her helm inside.
"May I come in?" she asked.
I nodded and she entered.
Orchid gently took my servos in her own,"Your servos are very warm."
Then she looked at me, her golden optics searching mine,"Why are you so upset?"
I sighed,"I don't know. Perhaps it's because the humans haven't been sharing everything they know."
"Why the humans?" Orchid asked with a slight smile,"I thought you liked them."
Despite myself I laughed a little,"Only a select few that don't drive me up the wall all the time."
Orchid smiled fully and gave me a quick peck on the cheek,"I hope you cheer up soon."
I hugged her and rested my chin on her helm. The warm of her chassis seeming to meld with mine and calm me as well as give me hope and courage and new strength.
"I love you," I whispered. As if she didn't know that. I told her I loved her at least two times a day.
Orchid giggled,"I know, I love you too."
I tilted her helm up and kissed her full on the mouth.
I loved kissing Orchid. She was always so...perfect...in every way. I knew every time I looked at her or thought of her, that I was the luckiest mech in the world.

About half an hour later, my sour mood had returned, and the stern woman Charlotte wasn't helping.
"He's in a bad mood," Dino explained,"he's not gonna talk to anybody today."
"What is this?" Charlotte sneered,"The silent treatment?"
"We have seen that and this is not that," Ironhide replied,"This...is worse."
Then he banged on my roof saying,"Prime, make something of yourself!"
I transformed and slammed my fists into the ground,"Everything we were told by humans we were told was shared. So why was this found in human hands?" I pointed angrily at the engine part in front of me.
Orchid gave me a worried glance and I reminded myself to stay calm. For my Sparkmate and the others.
"We were in the dark about this also," Charlotte replied, all teasing gone, now replaced by a businesslady.
She went on to explain that many years ago something had crashed on their moon and the first men to step foot on the dusty planet were also the first to see it in a thousand years.
Charlotte introduced me to a couple of the astronauts who had traveled and returned safely from the moon and back.
I acknowledged them and they explained they were originally on a secret mission to discover what had hit the moon.
"The ship's name was the Ark," I explained finally,"I watched it depart from Cybertron myself, carrying what could have saved our planet, and...it's captain."
"Who was its captain?" Charlotte asked.
"The great Sentinel Prime, the inventions creator, he was leader of the Autobots before me," I replied,"It is necessary that we find him and bring him back, and...we must pray it isn't too late."
