Orchid seems happy. She has everything a Tibaksi Prime could want: friends, a Sparkmate, and a home. But all of that changes once Optimus brings Sentinel Prime back.
Something isn't right about the Prime.

I was super excited! I was going to the moon with Optimus and Ratchet! I had never been to another planet's moon before, and I longed to see Earth for myself from outer space. I had heard from the astronauts it was absolutely beautiful. "Orchid!" Ratchet called,"Are you coming or not?" I snapped out of my daydream and ran over to him and Optimus,"Yeah, yeah! Sorry." I saw Optimus give me a small, amused smile. "I wish I could go with you," Kamacazii sighed. "Take some pictures or send a postcard won't ya?" Aura teased her brother, punching him lightly on the arm. Blue Moon hugged me tight,"Be safe." Then we entered our spaceship and prepared for takeoff. The ship rumbled, making me vibrate uncomfortably. Then it left the ground and a rush of energon pounded in my audios. Optimus reached over and gently held my servo as we exited Earth's atmosphere. I could see the moon. It was ashen and gray with craters peppering its surface. We landed and Ratchet helped me unstrap myself before we climbed out. There was barely any gravity and each step felt like I was walking on weightless feathers. "Ratchet, Orchid," Optimus said,"let's roll." We ran...bounced across the moon to reach the Ark. The Ark was huge! Bigger than I remembered it, and it looked so...dead. We entered and I gasped. Dead Autobots littered the floor, their limbs twisted and their bodies contorted. "They must've died in the crash," I whispered, a sick feeling growing in my spark. Optimus didn't reply, he only took my servo again and I squeezed it tight. Optimus pressed a button and the floor opened up to reveal a safety hatch with a large, red and black Autobot with a neat, silver beard. His optics were open, but no light shone from them. Four pillars floated around him and a fifth was clutched loosely in his arms. Once the hatch opened the pillar slipped out and Ratchet grabbed it. "He sealed himself in here...to protect the pillars," Ratchet said softly. Optimus released my servo and lifted the Autobot carefully. "Sentinel Prime," he whispered to the slumbering,"we're bringing you home." I felt the sick feeling in my spark grow. Something wasn't right. ****************************** Later, we were back at base. My human computer binged in my berth-room and my holoform went to check it out. After I had shooed Larkspur off, I saw I had a message from Sam. I opened it and a very confusing message popped up. It said: 'I was attacked by a f****ing huge bird! Help!' I closed my computer and shook my head with an amused smile. The daily happenings in my friend's life. Someone knocked on my door and I (in bi-ped mode) answered. I almost expected to see Optimus, but it was Blue Moon. "Ratchet needs you in the med bay," she told me. The confusing (and amusing) message from Sam was forgotten as I followed Blue Moon into the med bay. "You needed me?" I asked the medical officer. "Sentinel is displaying brain-wave activity," Ratchet said,"Can you read his mind and report what you see?" "Why?" I asked, frowning. The sick feeling had returned and I wasn't feeling so good again. "If we know what he's thinking, then we can predict his reaction when Optimus wakes him up," Ratchet replied, then he frowned,"Are you alright, Orchid?" I nodded, then slumped suddenly as a wave of nausea washed over me. Ratchet touched my fore-helm, then called out for assistance. Next thing I knew, two strong arms were wrapped around me and my helm was cradled in Optimus' lap. "What happened?" he asked. "I don't know, she just went white and collapsed," Ratchet replied, taking my temperature and energon pressure,"Help me get her onto the medical table." Optimus picked me up and lay me on the berth gently. I was finding it difficult to breathe. "Orchid," Optimus whispered as Ratchet got his tools," stay with me please." I took a shaky breath and passed out... ****************************** When my optics opened again, the sick feeling was still there, but I wasn't nauseous nor did I find it difficult to breathe anymore. Optimus was laying on the floor next to me, his helm resting on the berth next to me. His servo was loosely holding mine. I smiled and tenderly brushed his cheek, waking him. Optimus' blue optics met mine and a hugely relieved smile broke over his face-plates. "Orchid!" he exclaimed and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back and leaned into his warmth,"What happened?" "Sentinel had a synthetic energon sample with him. Apparently it doesn't agree with Tibaksi," Optimus replied,"It's been confiscated so it won't affect you again." I smiled and gently kissed him,"Thank you." Optimus smiled too, but he quickly pulled away as the door to the medical door opened and Ironhide entered. "How's my little girl?" he asked once Optimus had left. I smiled widely,"Much better now." Ironhide ruffled my hair,"That's my girl." I hugged him and he sat on the berth with me and hugged me back. Ironhide may be tough on the outside, but he really cared for his friends and family. That was what made him the best Autobot around...aside from Optimus and Blue Moon. He was also extremely loyal to the end. We sat in silence, then Aura poked her helm in. "Sam's...oh!" she exclaimed excitedly then saw us,"Sorry!" "It's okay," I said and sat up,"Sam?" "Yeah, he's here. I thought you'd like to see him and his new girlfriend," Aura replied. I got up, but stumbled a little as I was slightly dizzy still. Ironhide steadied me and my holoform ran off after Aura's. Aura led me to where Sam was talking to Lennox and Charlotte. A blond-haired woman stood next to Sam. I assumed she was his new girlfriend. "Sam!" I called as we approached. "Orchid!" Sam exclaimed happily. "Who's this?" the girl asked, regarding me with a wary look. "Carly, this is Orchid, she's one of those Autobots I was telling you about," Sam replied,"She's my friend." "And her?" Carly asked, pointing to Aura. "This is one of my best friends Aura Dae," I replied. "We're both Autobots," Aura smiled,"this is just our holoforms." Carly nodded, then flashed a sincere smile and shook our hands. I immediately liked Carly. She was very straightforward and nice and not afraid to speak her mind. Aura led the two humans to a window where we could see Sentinel and the others. My holoform disappeared and my bi-ped mode ran into the room with the others. Aura joined me a few seconds later. "Let us begin," Optimus said and pulled the Matrix out of his chest-plate. I took a deep breath and waited in anticipation and slight worry.
Author's Note: Sorry it took so long to update, my mom's been on my case that I spend too much time writing and not enough time outside. In addition, the weeds at the farm I work at are getting out of hand so I have to deal with that as well. Such is life.😳 Oh well, at least I got this chapter done and I'm aiming to get at least one more in today. Bye, and thanks for your patience.😉❤
