I jumped in the air and brought my staff swooshing down, then landed in a roll and crouched, slashing the air with my claws.
Ever since I had become a Tibaksi, I had been training regularly. I trained early in the morning, and late in the evening.
I swung my staff to one side as if to block, but Optimus was suddenly there.
I widened my optics on surprise and retracted my staff quickly,"I thought you'd still be in recharge."
"I'm usually up around this time as well, so I thought I'd come watch you," he replied.
I snorted,"And you don't train?"
Optimus shrugged,"I could train with you now if you'd like."
I nodded,"Okay then, Optimus."
Optimus walked a few feet ahead of me and raised his fists.
I sheathed my staff and held out my fists also.
We stood there for a while, then Optimus lunged, aiming for my midsection.
I jumped and placed my servos on his back-plates, doing a servo-spring over him.
Optimus whirled around and knocked my legs out from under me.
I landed on my back-plates, but with perfect muscle coordination, I flipped back onto my peds.
While we were training, we didn't notice we were getting farther away from the base and closer to the nearby forest, until I backed into a tree.
Optimus lunged at me, but I slipped under his arm and somersaulted away.
"I always knew you were good," Optimus panted,"but I never thought you'd be this good."
I smiled and readied for the next attack.
Optimus ran as if to slam helm-on into me, but instead grabbed me by the waist and held me against a tree, one servo holding both of mine behind me.
"Do you yield?" he asked.
"Nope," I replied with a smile.
Optimus kissed me hard, his free servo running up and down my waist.
I kissed him back harder and felt his servo loosen on my wrists.
I twisted free and knocked Optimus flat on the ground and held him down.
"Do you yield?" I asked the Prime sweetly.
Optimus laughed,"I hate to admit it, but yes, I yield."
I laughed too and kissed him again before letting him up.
"You are very good," Optimus said, brushing off his armor.
"Yeah..." I said absently.
Optimus looked at me and one corner of his mouth turned up in a little smile,"I'm assuming there's more?"
"Okay...just between you and me..." I said slowly,"Um...you seem to be the stronger."
Optimus laughed and pulled me into a hug,"I may be stronger, but you are much faster."
I blushed a little and buried my helm in his shoulder-plate,"How do you know?"
"Your speed is evident in every move you make, wether it be a battle tactic, or just a hug, you are the fastest of all of us," Optimus told me,"But don't tell Bumblebee I said that."
I smiled and hugged him tighter.
Optimus gently took my chin in his digits and tilted my face to his.
I looked into his beautiful, sky-blue optics and I knew I was the luckiest femme in the universe to have a mech like him.
Optimus kissed me and ran his digits through my hair and down my arms and up my back. His servos touched a sensitive spot and I yelped.
Optimus drew back immediately and his optics flooded with concern.
"It's okay," I began, but he shook his helm.
"I keep forgetting..." he whispered.
I knew he was remembering our battle with the Fallen, and how he had torn my wings off. Ratchet had done a good job at welding them back on with the proper wiring and everything, but they were still tender and were hurt very easily. I had been carefully exercising them to strengthen them more so I could fly again, but Optimus still felt pain every time he touched or looked at my scars.
"I'm okay, Optimus," I reassured him, gently touching his face-plates.
Optimus sighed and pressed his servo to mine and gently kissed my palm,"I know, but...it hurts to know I was so helpless, while he...harmed you."
I shook my helm and kissed his cheek,"That's in the past. Focus on the present and the future. The Fallen can no longer hurt us...or me...anymore. And the Decepticons have retreated and not surfaced for about a year now."
"I know that," Optimus sighed, then smiled,"we should probably head back before everybody's gone out looking for us."
I laughed,"Yes, I'm sure that if Ironhide knew we were dating, he'd still at least try to pound you into scrap."
Optimus held out an arm and I linked mine through it,"Over-protective fathers. I'd like to see him try."
I smiled, but it was a small, sad one,"You do know he's not my real father right?"
"Of course!" Optimus exclaimed,"Your true father was Razor, and he was the bravest, yet kindest Predacon I had ever met."
I smiled wider,"I'm glad you love me for who I really am."
"I wouldn't have you any other way," Optimus smiled and kissed me.
We reached the base, which was still quiet, which meant nobody was up yet.
Optimus and I slipped inside then parted to go to our own berth-rooms.
I lay on my berth, stroking Larkspur's sleeping helm, and sighed.
Optimus was amazing. We hadn't officially become Sparkmates yet, but I had a feeling he wanted to. But I had a problem that I wasn't feeling ready for sparklings. We had discussed the matter days before, and while Optimus had been understanding, I knew he wanted some sparklings to father. I did too, but I still didn't feel quite ready yet.
I closed my optics and shut all thoughts from my mind. I needed to meditate and calm myself before Kamicazii or any others burst in and jolted me up (this was their new routine now).
I took deep breaths in and out, but Optimus still intruded my mind.
I didn't mind at all.

Author's Note: Sorry that was a little short, but I didn't want to keep you guys waiting too long.
