"Fan-fucking-tastic." I muttered to myself as I snuck into the school building. I had woken up late and had to walk to school since Alex and Ella had already left the apartment. "Hurry up, Evie you gotta get to class." I said running down the hallway. I stopped in front of my classroom door and knocked softly. My teacher Mrs.Vaughn sighed and opened the door letting me inside. "You're late Miss.Jonson. Do you have a hall pass?" She questioned only for me to shake my head 'No'. "Take a seat Evie." Mrs.Vaughn said with a hint of annoyance in her voice. I quickly walked to the back of the room and sat down. About 30 minutes into the class I had this feeling someone was watching me. I looked up only to catch a glimpse of Xavier staring at me. I gave him a confused look and mouthed the word "What?" He smirked and looked away. The bell rang 10 minutes later and I was the first person out of class.

~Time Skip~

"Finally! I'm out of this hell hole!" I cheered as I walked out of the school followed by my peers. "Hey, Evie! You going somewhere?" My friend Jorjette yelled from across the parking lot. She ran over to me and hugged me. "Y-yeah. I.....uh. I have something I need to do for Alex, so im heading to get it done now." I lied, well sort of. Jorjette nodded and waved goodbye, before she walked back over to her mothers car. I quickly ran towards the old abandoned warehouse. "Oh, look a fence." I said sarcastically as I threw my bag over the fence. I climbed up the fence and hopped over landing on my feet and grabbing my bag. "Hmm, Is it in there?" I walked towards the warehouse and stopped in front of the iron door. I peeked in the door slightly and heard shouting. "YOU FUCKER! GIVE IT BACK OR I'LL STAB YOU!" I walked in quietly, but to my dismay the door slammed behind me. "So much for trying not to get noticed." I muttered to myself as I backed against the wall in fear. "Who are you?" A girl with long brown hair said harshly. "I-I Um...." I stuttered looking down at my feet. "Aww, look Birdie you scared the poor mutt." I quickly looked up to see a guy with short black hair say. The girl I now knew to be 'Birdie' laughed at his comment. "Ok AD and Birdie, dont be so harsh. Xavier isn't even here yet and we have more new meat as well. Not just Mutt here." A girl with glasses and her brown hair up in a messy bun motioned towards me, then towards another group of teens. Suddenly the door across the room flew open and Xavier walked in. "Ok! So, how many new recruits do we need?" Xavier asked walking towards the group of teens. I quickly jogged to the back of the group and leaned against the wall. "We need three recruits." Birdie said walking up behind Xavier. "Alright, Everyone stand on the white line." Everyone in the group moved forward and stood on the line except for me. "Mutt! Didn't you hear my brother?! On the line! Now!" Birdie yelled and I quickly moved to the front of the line and stood on the white line. "Oh? What do we have here?" Xavier walked in front of me and grabbed my chin forcing me to look at him. "Hello, Evangline. Why are you here today?" He smirked as he said my name. "I-I......." I tried to speak but no words came out. "Wait! Xavier, you know her?!" Birdie and AD questioned. "Yes, I know this beautiful piece of shortness. She goes to my school." He smirked. God his smirk was so sexy. "I-I N-need some-something t-to do......" I stuttered blushing as I looked up at Xavier. His smirk fell and was replaced with a confused look. "Alright, Evie, go stand over there." He pointed to the wall behind him, and I walked over slowly. After about 10 minutes I had two other people standing beside me. "These are our new recruits. Treat them like one of us." Xavier growled, before grabbing my wrist and pulling me behind him.

"We're from different gangs. We cant be together."
