"Are you an idiot or something?!" Kou roared kicking the knife out of Subaru's hands.

Subaru paused for a moment and realized what happened. He was caught in a failed suicide attempt. Subaru who was already on his knees looked down at the floor and tightened his fists.

"The hell are you doing here idol?" He glowered softly, gritting his teeth.

"Stopping you from making a fucking mistake! That's what! You know that you almost killed yourself right?! (Y/n) may be dead right now, but that brother of yours is working on a way to bring her back to life!"

Subaru blinked. He forgot his genius brother existed.

Subaru scoffed.

"Why would you save me?" He asked.

Kou scoffed just as he did, furrowing his eyebrows, "To be honest I don't really know. With you gone it would just lower the competition of becoming Adam... but I guess I couldn't stand for watching you tear yourself apart."

"..." Subaru murmured something underneath his breath, but Kou was able to hear it due to his vampire senses.

"You're welcome," Kou said and bent down to pick up the blade floor. Kou put the knife in one of his jacket pockets and offered a hand to Subaru. Subaru looked up at him and paused for a moment before accepting. Kou pulled him up, "Let's go check on her."

Subaru nodded.

"What are the two of you doing here?" Reiji asked, not looking up from the test tubes of various substances. He poured a sparkly purple substance into the mouth of a dead rat. Subaru and Kou watched silently, ignoring his question.

The rat opened its eyes and stood up.

Reiji was about to let out a victorious smirk until the rat suddenly fell. Seemed it was only brought to life for a split second.

"Wow, Reiji-kun! You're getting closer and closer to making the potion!" Kou let out, clapping his hands together.

Subaru stared at Kou as if he were a freak.

Reiji rolled his eyes at Kou's bubbly behavior. "Will the two of you answer my question already,"

"We wanted to see how close you were to reviving C Neko-chan!" Kou exclaimed.

"Is there a reason to why you came here together?" Reiji looked at them suspiciously.

"No-" Subaru was cut off by Kou,

"Well the death of our dear (Y/n)-chan brought us closer!~ Subaru-kun and I are basically best friends!~" Kou said cheerfully.

Subaru was about to bark something at Kou but Reiji took account of this situation.

"Ahh, it's great to hear that you're Subarus friend...Now, won't you be a kind friend of his and find someone to fix all the broken walls and windows in the mansion?" Reiji said.

Kou gaped at Reiji's sudden request.

Reiji had taken this to his advantage.

"Hehe~ Of course..." Kou sighed, wondering how much it would cost to get it fixed. Of course, he had rich idol money so it didn't bother him so much.

"I'll get started on finding someone immediately..." Kou muttered. He went over to (Y/n)'s motionless corpse. It looked as if you were only sleeping. He kissed the back of your hand before exiting Reiji's lab quietly.

Subaru looked at (Y/n)'s body and hesitated to approach her.

Reiji cleared his throat, "Are you going to stand there forever?"

"Tch... of course not..." Subaru walked towards your deceased form and intertwined his fingers with yours.

"Come back soon..." He muttered, quietly so not even Reiji could hear.

Reiji glanced at Subaru as he touched (Y/n), he grunted before continuing adding more substances to the sparkly purple one.

Subaru unclasped his hand with (Y/n)'s and was about to leave before turning to Reiji. "Good luck with that potion thing of yours."

Subaru then left, closing the door behind him.

Once Reiji sensed that Subaru was far from his room, he rushed over to your body and disinfected the places where Kou and Subaru had touched you.

"I'm the only one who's allowed to touch you. You may be dead but you still belong to me." He stated firmly.

"Ayato-kun, Ruki-kun..." Yui said softly gaining their attention.

Ayato and Ruki weren't doing anything together in particular. They were just passing each other by in the house.

"Eh? What do you want Chichinashi? If you want me to suck your blood, I won't." Ayato said abruptly, turning away.

"No that's not it, I just wanted to tell you that I'm going to go out for a little," Yui said, twirling her now short hair.

"Is that so? Where are you going?" Ruki asked.

"Um...out," Yui responded secretively.

Ayato shrugged, and so did Ruki. They didn't really care so much anymore. "Come home before midnight." Ruki waved her off walking away.

Yui nodded, "Hai..Ruki-kun...I'll see you later Ayato..." Yui waved to him as she left the mansion.
