Reiji poured multiple substances together, trying to come up with a solution to turning back into a vampire. The substance began to bubble immediately and soon the beaker it was in started to rattle violently.

The beaker then broke resulting in glass shards on the floor. The liquid spilled onto the table and started to burn through the table, soon the liquid disappeared into nothing.

Reiji looked at the broken glass and was reminded of a distant memory.

"What the hell are you doing?" I walked into my lab and saw (Y/n) in front of a broken beaker. She turned her gaze to me and a stupid look of surprise came upon her.

"Oh-hhahah... hey Reiji..." She mumbled timidly.

"Why are you in here?" I marched over to her and glared down at her cowering figure.

Pathetic. I can't believe I am attached to such an idiotic creature. Out of the billions of humans, it could be, it just had to be her. "Well, ya see.." She fiddled with her thumbs looking down.

Immediately I brought my hand under her chin to look up at me, "I told you to look someone in the eyes when you speak to them."

Suddenly she sprung upon me and threw her arms around my neck and her, "I'M SORRY REIJI-SAN I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR YOU TO HELP ME WITH MATH, AND THEN YOU WEREN'T AROUND AND THEN I STARTED POKING STUFF AND-"

"Silence." I placed my gloved hand over her mouth. She pulled back and looked me in the eyes. I was taken aback.

These eyes are the ones of someone I love.

Wait, what? I must control my thoughts. I am a vampire. I cannot be cast under such human motions.

"Reiji-san?"

"You will be punished... again."

"Damn it. That's the fourth time this week." She muttered.

"Language. Keep your speech more ladylike." I said sternly. "Sorry." She muttered again.

"Do not speak under your breathe. It's found to be rude to others." I said.

"Sorry, Sir." She pouted like a child.

"You need to start acting your age (Y/n). It's starting to get harder to keep you out of trouble. If you keep doing this then I might-" I lectured.

"Please don't leave Reiji-san! I won't act like a kid anymore. I swear I'll act my age! But don't leave me... Don't ignore me!" She said desperately.

It hasn't been long since Yui's death, but she's changed in ways she doesn't know. Her strong persona isn't as fiery as it used to be. Not that I mind of course. I love her no matter what changes she goes through. Wait what was I thinking again? Love? Of course not. It's simply just attachment. Greed. I want her to myself. That is not love...Yes... I'll just keep telling myself this.

"Reiji-san... please answer me." She grabbed onto my blazer and looked up at me with teary eyes.

She looks like she's in pain. I smirked to myself. And leaned down so we were inches apart.

"Foolish human..." I took out a small scalpel from my front pocket and cut her cheek slightly so it a small amount of blood would come out. "As long as you're living and breathing with this blood running through your veins. I will never leave your side, and you shall never leave mine. Whether it be fate or not, I will go to the ends of the Earth to make sure your entire being belongs to I, and I alone."

"Reiji..."

I licked the blood the dripped down her cheek and took out one of my healing ointments. I put the ointment on her cheek and it instantly healed.

"As for your punishment." I started speaking and she gulped.

"For this week, you will remain by my side for 24 hours, and everyone else in the household will not feed off of you. They will starve. For this week you will only satisfy me."

"S-Satisfy? You make it sound dirty!" She was back to her normal self already.

"You think your blood will be enough to satisfy me? I'm going to need a lot more that." I leaned in and she blushed brightly.

"THAT'S KINKY REIJI!" She said, backing up, but I grabbed on to her before she could try to escape.

"Now now.~ Let's not forget your punishment."

✖PRESENT TIME✖

"I suppose I should clean this up." I picked up the glass and started to put it on a tray to throw away. However, when I reached the trash I found an unopened envelope.

I placed the tray to the side and took the envelope out of the trash. I opened and read it,

I crumpled the page and threw it away. What kind of game are you playing at Karlheinz?

"How long has it been already?" I said to myself.

Two and a half weeks? Ayato and Laito still haven't returned either. Even that idol went searching for her.

I looked at my pocket watch and saw that I should be preparing dinner already. I tried teleporting into the kitchen when I realized I was human.

So I just walked down to the kitchen, and there was that Mukami scum. Ruki.

"You were one minute late to prepare dinner. So I figured I'd take on the duty since you were so irresponsible to forget." Ruki sneered at me.

" I apologize. Next time I will do it on time." I pushed my glasses up. As if I'm actually sorry to a half-blood like him. I truly hope he falls to his demise one day.

"Hm, I suppose I'll accept it this once." Ruki said and continued cooking some curry.

"Since I am here, would you care for any help?"

"Hm? Well, you can go set up the plates, spoons, forks, knives, and cups. It'd be nice if you could change the tablecloth as well."

"Yes of course." I went to the dining room. When I suddenly heard someone enter the living room. I walked in to see who it was and it was Ayato and Laito staggering in, barely able to move.

They had cuts and bruises all spread on each other's bodies. Their clothes were torn and Laito seemed to have lost his fedora.They were also leaning on one another with their arms around each other's shoulder to walk straight up.

"Reiji..." Ayato choked out.

I walked over to them, and Laito and Ayato were about to fall until I caught them.

"Who did this to you?" I asked.

"The founders..." Laito said.

"They aren't dead." He finished before passing out. Ayato went out right after.

"What happened here?" Subaru came out and saw the two of them in my arms.

"Subaru help me carry them to my lab. I'm going to have to heal the injuries on them. But since they don't have the same vampire healing powers they had, it will take longer for them to recover. At worst they won't recover at all."
