Sick

I honestly have never felt this sick in my life. I’ve been sick for 2 days now and it feels like it’s getting worse. I must have the flu. Even worse, it was a Magcon weekend and I couldn’t even have fun. I usually go to the Magcon events with Cameron because of how awesome they are but it looks like I’ll have to skip this one.

I was laying in the fluffy, white bed in the hotel room that me, Cameron and Nash shared. It was Saturday morning. The sun was shining through the windows and I could hear the boys getting ready to go out and have fun before the event. I just stayed half-asleep because there was no chance of me getting up. “Babe, wake up.” I heard Cameron softly say while rubbing his hand up and down my arm. He was standing next to the bed, bending down. I opened my eyes a little but winced at the light. I groaned.

”Come on, you have to get up! You haven’t moved or eaten or even showered in 2 days! That’s really unhealthy.” He said, acting like a mom scolding their child. “I’ll get a shower, I promise. Just let me sleep.” I groaned and closed my eyes. He felt my forehead. “Are you hot? You feel hot.” He asked. “Yeah, I bet I look hot, too.” I said sarcastically. He chuckled a bit. “In all seriousness, do you feel hot?” He asked. “No, I’m actually really cold.” I said, wrapping the blankets tighter around me. “Well, I’ll get you some medicine. I’ll go ask the guys if they have any Advil or something.” He said before walking out into the hall and into the other guys’ rooms. He came back not too long afterwards with two.

I swallowed the pills and snuggled back up. “I’ll see you later okay? If you need anything just call me. Make sure you take that shower.” He said, closing the shades and turning off the lights.

They came back about 3 hours later, at 1:00. I was still sleeping. Again, I felt him waking me up. “You’re in the same position that I left you in.” He said bluntly. I rolled over so my back was facing him. He just walked over to the other side of the bed and laid down next to me. “I brought you ice cream.” He said. “I don’t think my stomach wants to digest anything right now.” I said, looking at him. “It’s vanilla, I don’t think it’s going to hurt you.” He said. “And you still haven’t taken a shower.” he continued. I started to tear up because I didn’t feel good at all and having someone pesting you to do something while your sick is really irritating. I rolled onto my stomach so that he wouldn’t see me.

”Hey, hey.” He said rubbing his hand on my back. “We don’t have to eat the ice cream right now. Let’s at least take a shower, please?” He said softly. “I don’t want to get up!” I said. “I promise you that you will feel better.” He pushed. I groaned over exaggeratedly. He pulled the covers off my body. “Nooo, please. I really don’t want to get up.” I whined. “Nope, you’re getting up.” He said. He walked back over to my side and picked me up. He took me to the bathroom and closed the door after leaving me in there. “I’m not letting you out of the bathroom until you take a shower!” He yelled through the door.

I took a shower, against my will, and changed into new pajamas. he opened the bathroom door and I hugged him. He hugged me tightly back. “You smell delicious.” He said. “And you know what else?” He asked in my ear. I grunted. “Look at me. You have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen in my life. And I miss that beautiful smile I haven’t seen in 2 days. And I love your soft hands and the way you paint your toenails. I love everything about you. I also love the way you sleep so let’s get you back to bed.” He said. I crawled back in bed. He talked until I fell asleep. It wasn’t until after Magcon that he crawled in next to me and cuddled me the rest of the night.
