We were out on a romantic dinner. We had been together for 5 years now, today our anniversary. I was wearing a beautiful red dress with high heels and my hair was done up nicely. “I can’t believe we have known each other for about 8 years now.” Cameron said, looking into my eyes. “I know. It’s crazy. But I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without you in my life. High school was so stressful.” I said. He nodded in agreement.

”Remember that one time when a random sandwich flew across the lunch room and hit me in the face?” He asked laughing. “Of course I do because I was so close to peeing my pants.” I answered, also laughing. “And then I gave it to Tony and said that I didn’t want it.” He continued. “Yeah, and didn’t he eat it?” I asked. “I’m pretty sure he did.” We both laughed.

We spent the rest of the time eating our meals. The restaurant was so lovely. It was dim, it had candles on every table, smooth music playing, fancy tables. Cameron looked gorgeous too. His hair looked so soft and he was wearing a nice outfit. We shared a desert.

”So, do you know why I brought you here?” Cameron asked. “Maybe because it’s our five year anniversary?” I answered. He smiled. “Yeah. But there is another reason.” He said. “Oh yeah?” I asked. He nodded his head. He got up and bent down next to me. I turned to face him and put my hand up to my mouth, knowing what was coming.

”The last 8 years have been so amazing with you, I can’t even explain it in words. I was so nervous when I asked you out because I thought you would say no, but now look where we are.” He chuckled a bit, tears threatening to spill his eyes. He licked his lips. “I think you know where this is going but, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you.” He paused again, licking his lips. “Will you marry me?”

I was beyond crying. I nodded my head yes and hugged him so tightly. He pulled out a big diamond ring and put it on my finger. “I can’t believe this. I love you so so much.” I said hugging Cameron again. “I love you too. More than you will ever know.” He said.
