I felt myself getting shaken awake, but when I opened my eyes I didn't see anyone in the room despite how dark it was. I felt scared, but tried to hold it in.
"Who is there?" I called out in a shaky voice. Suddenly Harry appeared almost out of thin air. I screamed but he clamped a hand over my mouth.
"Shush!"
"Sorry, you scared me." I said, sitting up. "Give me a moment to restart my heart," he waited and I got up, brushing off my wrinkled Weasley sweater that I apparently slept in. I had swapped my leggings out for grey sweatpants and my hair was still in French braids with the silver ribbons. "What is it?"
"I found something," he said excitedly. "You have to come see!" I got up slowly and he put the cloak around us.
"Where are we going?" I whispered after we were out of range of the fat lady who was snoozing in her picture frame.
"Never mind that," he said. I frowned. What was Harry up to? "Just c'mon! Promise you it is amazing." I sighed heavily and followed him. We passed the library and Harry pushed open a door to a deserted room that must have once been a classroom. I looked around cautiously as he dropped the cloak. The desks were pushed to the sides of the room with the chairs on top of them and in the middle of the dusty space was a huge mirror. I took a step back, panicking.
"Harry, get away from there." I said urgently, but he walked right up to it and put his hand against the glass, ignoring me.
"Can you see them Elaine?" He said dreamily. "There is my mum."
"Harry, get away!" My voice cracked. I had seen a mirror like this before, however it was a hand held one that my dad kept locked up. Every time dad looked at it he got angry and sad and even more bitter towards us. His mirror had the same inscription as this one.
"Elaine what's wrong?" He asked, puzzled. I shook my head.
"Just promise me you won't come back here," I said picking up the cloak. He seemed torn and didn't say anything. "Fine then." I humphed and dropped the cloak to the floor. "Bye." As I ran down the deserted corridors all I felt was afraid. I had never been so close to one and seeing Harry so mesmerized by it made me even more terrified. Mirrors like that have been a curse on my family in my opinion.
When I finally got back to Gryffyndoor tower the fat lady was barely awake and let me in when I said the password without checking to see who I was. I dashed up the girls stairs and slowly changed into my nightgown, laying down. Please come back Harry.
The following morning at breakfast I heard Harry talking to Ron about the mirror.
""You could have woken me up," said Ron, crossly.
"You can come tonight, I'm going back, I want to show you the mirror." Harry said. I wanted to yell at him.
"I'd like to see your mom and dad," Ron said eagerly."And I want to see all your family, all the Weasleys, you'll be able to show me your other brothers and everyone."
