Field Trip

Y/n pov

A few days have passed since the incident with jaune and pyrrah. I haven't seen jaune to much around since then. I wondered why some days but decided not to dwindle on it. Tomorrow is field trip day. Im quiet excited to see this place they call forever fall forest. It sounds beautiful. I lay in my bed staring at the ceiling lost in thought when i hear movement in the hall way and quiet talking.  I decided to listen in a bit more and could hear ruby and Jaune talking about how Cardin has Jaune on a leash.

That must be why he has been so scarce lately.

I keep listening in on the conversation until they start going on about leader ship and what a good leader is. I decided to head to bed to get some sleep for tomorrows trip.  I decided to take a break from my morning pt and sent yang a quick message to let her know not to show up. I set my alarm bright and early and crawled into bed letting sleep over take me.

Time skip morning

I woke up to the sound of my alarm and quickly shut it off i began gathering my things getting ready for the day. I grab my knives placing them in their spots and grab my new weapon placing it on my back.

I shouldn't have to use this baby and i really don't want to have to, but things happen and id rather have it and not need it than need it and bot have it.

I finished getting ready and hour before i had to even meet at the place to get picked up by the bullhead.

Damn it i do this every time i go anywhere I'm way to early. Well i guess ill take a nap while i wait.

I laid back down on my bed and closed my eyes for a bit to pass the time. Once i hear team rwby start leaving their room i decide to get up and get moving my self. Within 10seconds im up and out of the door moving towards the meeting spot.  I pass team rwby on my way and as i pass i see ruby's light up. She sprints towards me and stops looking at me with these weird eyes.

Ruby: can i please see your new weapon!!!!!

Y/n: not right now i want it to be a surprise. I say chuckling.

Ruby: but but awe ok... she says with a frown on her face.

Y/n: however i will tell you a secret about it. I get in close to her ear and whisper "its a sniper rifle". Ruby just pulls back with a huge happy look and runs back to her teammates. I turn around and finish my way to the bull head, get on and go right back to napping as it takes off.

Time skip to bull head lands

Y/n pov:

I wake up as i feel the bullhead land and immediately stand up and get off.  I look at the scenery before me and it quiet beautiful. I was a forest that was filling with red trees and red leaves everywhere. It took my breath away.

Prof Glynda: yes students the forest of forever fall is indeed beautiful, but we are not hear to sight see. Prof peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so.

Damn that was cold girl.  Why is jaune carrying all of team crdl's shit? Oh yeah cardins got something on him. Jaune bumps into Cardin with all of the stuff and cardin just gives him an angry look. Jaune looks at him with that opps face.

Prof Glynda: each of you is to gather 1 jar of red sap.  However this forest is full of the creature of grimm so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o clock. Have fun.

I see Jaune go to sneak away from Cardin to his teammates but Cardin grabs him and jaune looks down and follows. I made my own way deeper into the forest and collected my sap. Well that was to easy. What am i suppose to do now? I guess i could go further into the forest. I began to make my way deeper into the forest admiring its beauty. I sat down underneath a tree and closed my eyes enjoying the silence. I sat there for hours just eyes closed enjoying the peace. It was broken my a roar from where the other were. Well they've got prof Glynda with them they'll be fine. I hear rustling close to me and very large steps. I feel the ground shaking underneath me. I stand up and ready myself knowing that what ever it was it was big. Suddenly it breaks through the trees. I quickly back up and assess what I'm dealing with. Alright we got a geist of course he's got a rock body. Alright so from what I've studied woah!!. I quickly dodge one of its arms by jumping over it and landing on top. I began running up the arm. Now they are weak in their normal form but can posses any inorganic matter. There allowing it to protect its self leaving only its small face as a weak point. I reach its shoulder and jump and slash its face making it very mad. I land and prepare for its counter attack. It raises its foot above me  and i prepare my self. Alright lets try this out! I focus more aura into my arms and catch its foot increasing my aura all over my body i threw its foot up throwing it of balance and send it falling to the ground. I immediately charge towards its face while it was recovering placing my knife in its face effectively killing it. I sit down panting. Dam he was a big boy. I feel my scroll going off in my pocket i take it out and seen it was from yang. Oh now what?!

Y/n: hello

Yang: were cutting the trip short Jaune had to kill an ursa major to protect Cardin.

Y/n: oh yeah good for him yeah ill head back right now i haven't had any trouble over here. I say looking at the cluster of rocks that was he geists body.

Yang: that sounded sarcastic.

Y/: not at all see you soon bye.

I put my scroll away and began to walk back to the rendezvous point. When i reach it i see Jaune proudly standing beside his team and Cardin looking like a beaten dog. I smiled at this site and got back on the bullhead. Ill keep that fight to my self for now. I lean my head back and i take a nap until we reach home. Considering the day was cut short it was only 13:00 and i was starving so i immediately ran for the cafeteria for lunch.
