Im watching Jaune take on this Cardin Winchester guy and he's not doing so well. Cardin is barely breaking a sweat while Jaune is breathing heavily using his sword to hold him self up. He get up and charges at Cardin swinging his sword. Cardin easily dodges causing jaune to pass by missing his mark. Cardin hit jaune with his mace sending jaune flying causing him to lose his shield in the process. Jaune quickly recovers and two hands his sword charging cardin foolishly. Cardin block his sword and they speak for a moment. I don't catch what they are saying but it end with cardin kneeing jaune in the stomach leaving him on the floor. Cardin stand over jaune prepping for the kill swing. The buzzer goes off and the lights come on and glynda calls the fight. Glynda: "thats enough. Students as you can see mr arcs aura has now dropped into the red, in a tournament style dual this would indicate that jaune is no longer fit for battle and the official may call the match. Mr arc its been weeks now. Please try to use your scroll during combat. Gaging your aura during combat will help you decide when its appropriate when to attack and when it is better to move to a more defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a beowolf now would we." Cardin "speak for yourself" he says walking away. Y/n thoughts: i really want to hit that guy. Glynda: remember everyone the vytal festival is only a few months away. It wont be long before student from all over the kingdoms start arriving in vale. So keep practicing. Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of vale." I hear the bell ring and its lunch so i bolt for the door.

Time skip cafeteria

I sat by myself eating my lunch enjoying the good food watching the other students enter slowly. I see team RWBY and JNPR sitting together listening to Nora tell a story. Jaune however isn't looking to good. He must be down from losing his fight, i know the felling man I've lost my fair share. I continue eating my food and see team CRDL bulling some girl with bunny ears. And it looks like my chance to kick their ass has presented its self lets see how they handle this. I through one of my knives it landing right between cardin's legs close to his crotch sticking in the bench. He stops pulling her ears and looks around worried. He tries to pull out the knife but cant. I walk over y/n: here let me get that for you" i say pulling out the knife. "Now i would suggest you leave or the next one may land is a place you wont like". Cardin stand up trying to intimidate me. Cardin: "What you think your though because you can use knives?" Y/n "na man i thought i saw a fly where your dick would be, i realized my mistake though." He tried to grab my arm but i instantly twist it around and throw him on the ground placing my knife against his neck. "Now i would suggest you apologize to this nice young lady before i make you bleed my friend."  Cardin: " what are you doing get him!" He says to his teammates.  Y/n: ah ah ah ah ah, i wouldn't do that" i say cutting Cardin just a bit leaving a small patch of blood. " we wouldn't want buddy here to get hurt now would we? Cardin: " I'm sorry" y/n: "now was that so hard how about we fight it out sometime in glyndas class some time team CRDL well settle it their not here were well get in to much trouble." I release him. He looks at me with anger in his eyes: " fine but your going to lose" he says brushing him self off. Y/n "now go on little friend ill see you later". He grumbles and walks away. I turn to the bunny girl and say " my name is y/n did they hurt you to bad?" ????: " my name is velvet and no my ears hurt a little bit but ill be fine thank you for the help i didn't think a human would help a faunus". Y/n: "were all human just because you have ears doesn't make you any different to me i protect all, its what i was trained to do, the pleasure was mine I've been waiting for a reason to kick his ass."  Velvet: "I'm going to go though my team is probably worries about me thanks again for the help y/n." I smile and say "have a wonderful day velvet". I return to me seat and see Blake smiling watching me. Y/n: alright then? I finished my food and returned my tray and began to go back to my dorm room. Thinking to myself: i wonder if ill be able to participate in this tournament. I hope so it'll give me a chance to show off my weapon and learn new techniques. I feel a tap on my shoulder as i exit the cafeteria. I turn around to see blake. Blake: why did you help that faunus back there. Y/n: sorry but can you stop referring to them as something different to human its really starting to piss me off i hate when people hate on each other for nothing other than the way they look. Blake seem caught off guard by this but smiled. Blake: you don't see them as any different than to humans? Y/n: no its not what i stand for now please refer to her as velvet she has a name shes a person no different than you or i". She seemed really happy at this and hugged me. I didn't expect this but returned the hug still surprised. Blake: "thank you" she whispered into my ear. Y/n "ok then." I see yang at the table and she didn't look to happy at my situation right now. Y/n: Blake you can let go now. She let go blushing and returned to her table i left the cafeteria. Y/n: what was that about yang looked pissed but about what what is going on in this world i don't understand this fucking place. I finally reach my dorm room and decided to take a nap before prof oblecks class.
