After George was done beating me we went back into the car. He made me sit in the back so he didn't have to look at me. See this is what drugs do. They turn a man who will do whatever he had to, to protect you -even if it means taking away your happiness- to pay for his mistakes that he kept making, into a blood thirtsy beast who has no control over his mind! Damn you drugs!
I mean yes my dad is pretty... kind of... okay my dad is extremely horrible when it comes to woman, but he's not that bad! Until now.
After hours of silence the sun came up and the streets filled. I huffed and decided to talk, "George?"
"What?" he said angerly.
"What truely happened to Brynn?" I asked.
George grunted, and huffed, and sighed than pulled over to a Dairy Queen. "You hungry?"
I got out as well as him and we walked in. He gave me some money and told me to buy whatever I wanted while he went to the gas station. I went and ordered a GrillBurger with cheese, crispy fries, a sprite, and a sundae. I asked for it to go and right as I got my meal my dad came back.
I looked at what he was holding, a grocery sack with drugs in it. I sighed and we went and ate our things under the DQ sign. After a while I spoke up again. Asking the same question, "What happened to Brynn? The truth."
"Why do you care so much about Brynn?" he asked looking at me.
I shrugged, "Please George? I told you my part of the deal."
"And where did that get ya?" he replied, looking away.
I huffed and stood up and stomped my foot, "Tell me what happened or I'm not moving."
George grunted and stood up staring at me, "She died."
"What happened?"
George smiled creepily, "I killed her."
My eyes went wide, "Why!?"
George shrugged, "She got pregnat, asked me to marry her, I refused. She found out what I do, she got mad threatened to call the police but I knew it was just a threat. We got in an argument guns and knives came out. She lost the fight. She died."
I slapped him without even thinking about it. He just laughed. "Why is this funny to you!?" I yelled.
George pulled out a gun and pointed it at me, "Because.... It's about to happen to you."
He shot and I quickly got out of range. I grabbed the keys and the case of money and ran to the car. I could hear him following me. Chuckling as if this were a game. I quickly hopped in and started the car.
What normal teens would do is. Drive away and call the police, but considering my life I can't do that. I drove away and thought what I could do. Yes he has killed before but he's never tried to kill me and I've never been really able to fight back. Now I can but I don't know what to do.
I thought of an idea. I pulled out my phone and called Avery.
"Hello?" Avery's voice. This was defiently Avery's voice
"Avery?" I said through tears.
"Who's this?"
"Claire. The girl from the bus stop?"
"The girl from the bus stop? How did you get my number?"
"I kind of stole your husband's phone and put your number into mine."
"Why?"
"I'm going to explain from the begining but no matter what, don't hang up."
"Okay."
I started by explaining about George and his hobbies, than I explained how her mother got caught up with him, she was the very first. I kept explaining about George and my life and what I've been through, and why I'm always at the bus stop. I than stopped to see if she was catching along.
"Claire. I know all of this."
"You do!?"
"Yes, I do. My mother told me when I was young. I was a friend of your mother's she was older than me, a lot older, but she came to my family to hide you. I took care of you until your dad found you. He threatened to kill my family if I didn't give you to him. So I did. I hope your not mad about my choices."
"No! Of course not! I would've done the same!"
Avery continued, "Oh good. I knew you, and about you but kept my distance. Than you started watching me everytime I got on the bus, and I thought you figured out. I guess not. Now tell me why did you call?"
"George just tried to kill me!"
I heard the phone drop, she picked it up again and spoke through a cracked worried voice. "Where are you now?"
"Driving away from him."
"You a long ways away? From the city and him."
"Yes."
"Okay Claire. I want you to turn back."
"Why?"
"Come back to the city."
"They'll arrest me!"
"I won't let that happen! Just come back!"
"Okay." I hung up and put my phone down. I looked up in time to see my car crash into someone elses at a stop light.
