I woke up screaming. Avery came running in. I was sweating, my heart was pounding, my stomach had knots in it. I had my hand on my heart and cried while Avery was trying to calm me down. She pulled me to a tight hug and rocked me back and fourth.

"It was horrible... It was so horrible..." I sobbed. "Shh..." Avery hushed, "Shh... it was just a dream." I shook my head. My tears slid down to her shoulder, "No... no they weren't.... they were real..." Avery sighed, "Oh honey..." she continued rocking me back and fourth. We sat there for an hour. I ended up crying myself back to sleep and she slept with me. Cradling me in her arms like a mother would to a young child.

We woke up late that morning. She looked to me and I nodded. She got out of my room and went to hers. I sat up and looked around. The dream scared me in many different ways. For one it was real. Unlike other people's nightmares, where it's just imagination. No... mine was real. My body shook as I stood up. I was so weak I almost fell back to the ground. I looked at my legs and arms. They were filled with cuts and bruises. I changed into sweats and a sweatshirt. I went into the kitchen and grabbed myself some mini pancakes. Travis looked at me with worried eyes, "Hey you okay?"

I nodded. "You sure." I shook my head. He got up and hugged me. I winced in pain and he let go. He looked at me. "The same dream." I nodded. Each time I woke up from that dream I had the same scars and bruises. Some went away during the night. Others stayed. I have one down my back that I got the first time I dreamed the dream. It was the first night I was in the hospital. Ever since I've been having the same dream, on the exact same day, at the exact same time. Monday at 2:39. The time and day I was born. This was no coincidence.

I sat down and ate. I watched TV the rest of the day. My life went on like this every Monday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays Avery would home school me all day long. Thursdays and Fridays I would stay home and watch Cara. Saturdays Travis' mom came and stayed over. Sundays Cara would go with Travis' mom so she wouldn't be waken by my nightmares. She than came home Monday afternoon. My life was like a song on repeat. Nothing changed. Except that Friday...

 Friday

While I was watching Cara a knock came on the door. I let Cara continue playing on the living room carpet, while I opened the door. My greeting smile faded when I saw who it is.

"Claire." he smiled. He tired to step in but I blocked his path. "What do you want Tanner?" He sighed, "I want to explain."

"There's nothing to explain... Goodbye." I said closing the door. "WAIT!" he stopped me, "Please! Let me explain." I shook my head, "No." I closed and locked the door.
