The Secret (Complete)

Chapter 11

Alex's POV

I look around the imaginary forest that is in my mind, waiting for my mom to appear and explain why she knocked me out.

Right when I was about to start tearing apart every tree in this fake forest, a puff of silver and purple smoke appear a few feet away from me. I flinch back slightly because it startled me. When the smoke clears a man stands next to my mom wearing the black wolf tooth necklace while my mom only wears the purple this time.

The man starts walking towards me but I freak out and run and punch him in the face. 

"Who the hell are you?!" I yell at him making him laugh and hold his broken nose.

"That is your father honey." My mom says softly to me. I start looking at the man closely, and I notice that he has a lot of my features. 

"Nice to know my daughter is strong." My father chuckles while saying this. He holds out his hand for me to greet him, but I know from the look in his eyes that he is trying to hold back tears and hug me.

I rush into him and hug him tightly. "My name is Alex." I say to him and he hugs back just as tightly as me.

"Sorry that I punched you in the face." I say to him.

"It's okay, I forgive you. Now you and your mom have to talk I suppose." He says and then kisses my forehead. "I have to watch over your two mates and make sure they don't try to kill each other." He says with a smile but his tone is serious. I nod and he snaps his fingers and disappears in a puff of silver smoke.

I turn my head to my mom and ask the first thing that has been on my mind before my dad was here.

"Why did you knock me out? I wanted to show my mates who I truly was!" I shout at her.

"It isn't the right time hun. I assure you, your time to show your mates is coming." She says calmly to me. And weirdly that makes me calm too.

"But....what if they don't like me anymore after I show them 'the secret'?" I ask her. "I want them to know so they choose me for everything I have not just because I am their mate mom." I say to her kind of sadly.

"I think you forgot that me and your father choose mates. I chose the right two for you my dear. They will still love you no matter what." She reassures me. 

I then run into her arms and hug her like my life depended on it.

"Will I ever see you in real life? Not just in my head." I ask her with hopeful eyes.

"Yes. I think you forgot that I have friends that tell me the future." She says to me.

"I never knew that. Well how do I leave this dream? I would like to make sure my mates aren't killing each other too." I say with a smile. She returns the smile and holds onto my shoulders.

"I have to send you back silly." She giggles. Her eyes then start to glow purple along with her necklace. "Goodbye," she says and then I black out.

Nathan's POV

I am still in wolf form, in the forest, in the clearing where my mate fainted.

It has been about ten minutes since she fainted. I wonder why though. I worry about her well being now more than ever. Apparently that is what happens when you get a mate. Or these are just thoughts my wolf is making me say. He has been pacing the forest floor since she fainted.

I look at her and see the necklace, she somehow got while in a guarded pack hospital room, start to glow blue. Then her eyes start to flutter open and when she finally opens them she immediately looks over at my wolf.

I start to have this weird feeling in my chest when she smiles at my wolf. I walk over to her and lay down, still keeping eye contact with her. Maybe I'm just attracted to her?

-NO! You idiot. You love her- My wolf shouts at me.

I love her. 

I never thought the day would come where I started to love again.

Has it come?
