Chapter 21

Kenzie's POV

"We all need to calm down! Stressing over her isn't going to get us anywhere, unless you all want to die in this war?" I ask the last part sarcastically while watching them.

"Ask my mom if she knows if there is any witch that can reverse this please." Alex asks me through our link.

"Sure." I reply back before voicing the question out loud.

"Is there any witch that you know that can reverse this?" I ask Lana, Alex's mom.

"My older witch friend might, but I haven't been in contact with her for a while though." She answers with slight unease.

"Well, can you try to contact her?" Nathan asks Lana.

"Yeah, I need a couple supplies though-" She begins to say, but is cut off by a woman in a purple cloak walking into the clearing.

"There is no need to contact me, I am already here for you Moon Goddess." The woman replies strongly.

"Who are you?" Michael Stan, Alex's dad, questions with a hard stare to the witch.

"I am Madame Tara Devereaux, the most powerful witch ever." The witch, or should I say, Tara answers strongly to him. 

"Don't disrespect m-" He beings to growl out but is cut off by himself choking.

"Don't disrespect me!" Tara shouts at him. "I am a LOT more stronger than you, so back off you testosterone obsessed boy!" She yells the BEST comeback I have heard in a while at him.

"Ta, calm down. Please?" Lana asks and then I feel a presence in my head.

"What is going on? I am still here you know." Alex says in my head.

"Oh my gosh! I totally forgot you were still awake, sorry. Okay, so, the most powerful witch that predicted the war is here. Her and your dad got into it, but did you here what she called him? It was hilarious!" I tell her.

"Interesting, can she wake me up?" She asks me with curiosity.

"I don't know." I tell her truthfully.

"Then ask Kenz." She says to me and leaves my head.

"Madame Devereaux?" I ask to get her attention.

"Yes?" She waves her hand in a motion to ask my question.

"Can you wake up Alex?" I ask and point to Al on the ground with her mates on either side of her.

"I might, but I haven't worked with the type of magic that made her paralyzed." She reasons, but for some reason that just makes me angry. 

I feel this fire build inside of my veins and I don't know how to control it. It doesn't hurt me though.

The fire then makes itself visible to everyone through my hands. It moves up to consume my arms as well as my hands with its flame.

"What the heck is happening to me?!" I shout out to them in panic, but I still feel that anger from Tara more less saying she might not be able to help Alex.

Just thinking about it makes the flames consume all of my body, but it still isn't hurting me.

"Your losing control, think of good things." Tara tells me calmly.

I do what she tells me but my wolf won't. She is the one that is furious right now, not me.

-What is going on with you?- I ask my wolf.

-She is going to hurt our Queen!- She replies, but she doesn't sound like herself.

-What is going on with you? You sound different.- I question her worriedly.

-We are her Protector! And if she gets hurt, I will murder that witch!- She growls towards Tara.

"You better calm your wolf down girly, or I am going to send you flying into that tree behind you." She threatens and I growl at her. Tara puts her hand out, palm facing me, and mutters something. She tilts her head, almost confused at something.

"How are you not moving?" She asks me as if I know.

"She is Alex's Protector. Kenzie feels like your are threatening to hurt her Queen." The Moon Goddess says to Tara.

"Oh, no witch can attack a Protector. I will help your Queen, Protector. I will try my hardest to help her, I promise." Madame Devereaux promises before getting to work on Alex.

-You better!- Both me and my wolf says.
