"Can I has some cookie dough pleeeaaaase!" I say looking at the little bits of dough and chocolate chips left in the bowl.
"No sweety it would make you sick," he says placing the bowl in the sink and quickly rinsed it out.
I pouted and looked at the floor. Im sitting in my high chair watching Zander clean the kitchen
"Tell you what you can have two cookies for dessert if you stop pouting," he says wiping down the counters.
"Really?" I say smiling.
"Yes princess," he chuckles.
I really did miss this.
"Ok," I say showing him my smile so he wouldn't think I was pouting.
"Cutie," he compliments.
I make a silly face at him making him laugh. He soon finishes cleaning the kitchen and brings me to the living room.
"Can I trust you to stay here and play?" he asks setting me besides the dollhouse.
"Yes daddy," I say picking up Rachell, my brunet Barbie doll.
"Good girl," he says he leaves the living room and takes out his phone.
I didn't eavesdrop, because that would be rude, but I couldn't help but hear my name. I crawled over to the doorway and listened in.
"Yeah get my summer home ready." he says into the phone, "Get it aired out and cleaned. Also, Fred, get her nursery ready. Im planning on spending a lot of quality time there with my Evy." there's a pause, "Don't worry about her old man, its taken care of." he says into the phone.
My eyes widen when he starts to turn around I quickly crawl back to the dollhouse and start pushing Rachell in her car.
"Whatcha been up to baby?" he says leaning over me.
For a second I thought that I was caught eavesdropping but I figured out that he meant the dolls.
"Rachell is going to the mall to get a new dress for her date tonight with Ken, but Barbie doesn't know about Ken's date with Rachell and She is planning on going to the same restaurant for dinner with her friends," I say making up a random story.
"Sounds like a Sope Opera," says Zander.
"Shhh! They don't know that!" I whisper-yell.
"Ooooh, I see. Sorry," he whispers back.
I giggle at his response and he leaves to make another call.
Did he do something to papa?
I wait until he is done making calls before I decide to ask him.
"Daddy?" I ask looking at him when he walks in.
"Yes baby?" he says he picks me up from my toys and sits me on his lap on the couch.
"How long am I staying with you?" I ask hoping he doesn't catch on that I suspect him.
"You will probably stay with me until your father gets out of rehab, or until you turn 18. Then I guess how long you stay is up to you," he says slightly frowning.
"Oh ok," I say and start playing with his hair.
He had semi-long hair that is so soft and fun to run your fingers through. He smiles as I play with his hair, I know he likes the feeling.
