Dan and Phil wandered into Phil's room, still laughing. It was about 6pm and Dan knew he'd have to get back soon. He was going to be in so much trouble, though. He sat down on Phil's bed and kicked off his shoes. He could stay here a while longer.

Phil knelt down beside a mini fridge and pulled out a can of Monster energy, yawning. "Want one, Dan?

Dan cocked his head. "It's like 6pm, dude. You won't sleep."

Phil laughed. He wouldn't sleep. Exactly his problem. The monster was to help him feel less - groggy, he supposed. Phil was tired but that didn't mean he could fall asleep.

Phil stood up and walked over to his wii U, tapping it on and chucking Dan a remote. "Mario Kart 8?"

It was nearly 8pm now. Phil watched Dan's lips moving to form words that only he could hear. Dan's body was pressed against the wall, his wii remote had fallen to the floor and his character (Yoshi) had veered off of the track.

Phil really didn't want to wake him up. But Dan had explained that he might end up being moved to another carer if he got into too much trouble. Phil had sort of taken to Dan. He liked that he was honest. He liked that Dan loved all of the movies and TV shows Phil liked. He liked that even after everything, Dan always tried to keep positive. And Phil thought he deserved a friend, actually, after all of this time.

He looked at the boy and smiled. Phil was always one to deny his own thoughts. If something popped into his head that was not something he'd normally share, then he'd push it away. He didn't know why. His thoughts were private, but he didn't like it. It embarrassed him.

He didn't push this thought away, though: he thought Dan was really good looking.

He wasn't perving on Dan. Not really. It was just a passing thought. If you see a pretty girl in the street, you note to yourself that she's pretty, right? You don't have to be in love with someone to enjoy their physical appearance.

And Phil was really enjoying Dan's appearance. He didn't quite know why. Phil decided that he did not think he would mind waking up next to Dan's dimpled smile every day. Although, 'waking up' indicated sleeping. And Phil didn't do a lot of that.

Phil sighed, and gently shook the boy awake. "Dan, you need to go home, dude."

A few moments later, Dan was gone. Phil regretted it instantly. He'd enjoyed watching Dan sleep. It may have sounded creepy, but it made Phil quite happy. And not a lot of things did that.

Phil clambered into bed, under his covers, not intending to sleep, but to just watch TV or something. Phil felt amazing. He really did enjoy spending time with Dan.

He thought about the amazing day they'd had around London. The things they'd done, places they'd seen. Phil even made a vlog on his camera which he would upload to his youtube channel, AmazingPhil, in the next few days.

He smiled and closed his eyes. Maybe he would be happy now. Maybe he would move away from here. To London. With Dan. They could be flatmates. And Phil would find an amazing girlfriend and get an amazing job and-.

There was nothing else for Phil to decide he wanted.

Because that night, for the first time in a long time, Phil plummeted into a perfect sleep.

i was actually getting exhausted for phil like writing as a tired person literally makes you tired im gonna go sleep now lmao

but no seriously i only sleep five hours a night and its awful i always wake up about four am through no fault of my own it is so frustrating
