Chapter Twelve

• Chapter Twelve •
Promise.

    Me and jake stood in front of the house. I hear laughing inside. I run up the door and I knocked out making the laughing stop. Jake was behind me, I stood in excitement as I hear footsteps approached the door. The door then creeks open and revealed a blonde hair fella I knew all to well.
    "Holy- is that." Sam says as he brings me in for a hug. I hug back as he hugs me all the way into the living room. I let go and I look at everyone, then I see heath who wasn't old anymore but young. He smiled at me and high fived me.
    "Heath? Do you remember Zane." I asked
    "Yes, That was my best friend since high school." He says
    "Well, I just visited the VS land and you'll never believe who's there." I say with a smile as heaths eyes light up with excitement.
    "Elton can you come with me." Heath asked
    "Sure." He says as they both then disappeared.
    "Where's Colby?" I asked Sam.
    "He's upstairs in his old room." Corey says.
    "Has he been okay." I asked
    "Go look for yourself, Clem." Sam says and I sightly nodded at him as I make my way up stairs. I get to Colby's door and I knocked, I head sniffles from inside as his feet shuffled across the floor. He stood there for a minute before he opened the door. In the quick 30 second time span I saw his eyes were dull, along with super red and puffy. His hair was messy, his posture was slumped.
"I told you guys I'm- " he stops mid sentence when he saw my face. He did a side smile and embraced me with a hug. He picked me up and spun me around as I giggled, his breathing was tickling my neck
"Colby you're tickling me." I say as I laugh more.
"Oh I know." He says as he puts me down and started to tickle my side but I pull him in for a hug before he could do some real damage to my laughing box.
"I missed you." I say into his ear.
"I've missed you more." He says smiling wide at me as we pulled away but he kept ahold of my hand.
"I don't know what happened to me but I ended up on VS land and met heaths old friends." I say with a giggle, then I looked into his blue eyes and they sparkles. His blue eyes weren't so dull anymore. I smiled even more when I realized I was the sparkle in his eye.
"I thought I lost you forever." He says as a tear slips down his face but I wipe it away.
"You will never lose me that easy." I say with a smile. I was the most happiest girl in the world. All my bad feelings suddenly went away as if Colby scared them off.
"I looked for you every where. Even threaten the grand wizard so I could threaten Ashley." He says
"Grand wizard was the one to help me back here since there was no way out of VS land." I say as I pulled in by the waist by Colby. My hands where on his chest while his hands stayed on my waist. Our forehead touched as we both started to slightly laugh. I look at his lips as I bite my lip.
"Ever since I kissed you, I've wanted more." Colby says
"What are you waiting fo-" I was cut off mid sentence when Colby's lips crashed into mine. Fireworks went off in my stomach once again feeling his soft lips on mine. After a minute we pulled back.
"Lets go home." I say as I take his hand. We both started down the stairs and everyone looked at us as we left out the door. Colby had told them where we were gonna be. As we walked through the forest I started to hum perfect by ed sheeran. Colby seemed to know it as he smiled at my humming.
We get to my back porch and i open my sliding door. I step in and felt a rush of air, the scent was all to familiar.
"Your mom." Colby says as he wraps his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Yeah, I think she knows I'm back." I say with a smile.
"Get a shower, I know you hate to feel dirty." He says as he kisses my neck. I turn around to face him and I give him a quick peck on the lips before running up to my bathroom and quickly took a shower. The hot water felt great on my cold skins, but once I got out it was a whole different story. I changed into a shirt that was oversized and some shorts that were a little to short. I dry my hair and put it up in a bun, I walk out and I hear music from down stairs.
   I started walking down the stairs and I see Colby waiting for me. He was in his PJ which was just sweatpants, no shirt. Nervous by Shawn Mendes was on and he picks his hand out for my to grab as I stepped down from the last step. He looks me up and down and smiles at me as I grab his hand and we danced around laughing.
    The song goes off and he pulls me into his chest. He kisses my forehead as I laughed. We stood in silence for a good minute or so until he pulls me away from his chest.
    "Clementine Evans, when Ashley stabbed you I felt my whole world crash around me. Even after I saw you disappear I didn't stop looking. I thought maybe I found the one with Ashley but it's been you this whole time and I'm glad we were brought together, and I wanted to give you this ring." He says as he pulls out a gorgeous ring, I could see something engraved on it but couldn't make it out.
    "You aren't proposing to me, are you?" I say as he grabbed my hand.
    "No, I'm promising you. Whatever happens I will be there for you. Anything you need I will try with all my power to get. Clementine, I love you and I'm giving you this promise ring to show you." He says and puts the ring in my hand. I look at it and see his name next to a date, the day me and him officially met. My eyes started to get teary as I read it.
    "I love you too Colby." I say as I put the ring on making me smile. He then pulls me in for a kiss, after that we sat on the couch in each others arm singing to our favorite songs through out the night. I was living but best life with the boy in my dreams.

This is now sadly the last chapter of this book. I was thinking of a book two but not sure yet. If I decide not to make a book two I will do a follow up chapter of them  in the future. This was a Short book with long chapters. See you guys next time. :)
