A Game and a Song

A/n- I have to skip some time for this to work and I really like this idea so please bare with me
-> time skip to a week later->
Y/n POV

It's been a week since I have came up into the glade and Alby gave us the day off. Right now I am laying in my bed thinking how hard things were when I first came up but now I have slowly started to get the hang of things with the help of my friends, Minho, Gally, Alby, Chuck, Jeff, and Newt (she has more friends but those are her best friends cause the where the ones she first met), I don't go anywhere with out one of them. They are my guides and friends all in one and without them I would be stuck and lost. Finally I decide to get up and stop being lazy and go talk to some of my friends.  As I walk out of my hut I see Newt, Minho, and chuck all sitting together talking so I decide to walk over. I walk over and sit down and I see newt just staring at me.

Newts POV

I notice y/n walk over and sit down next to Minho dang that girl is beautiful! I know I shouldn't have but I've fallen for y/n and I fell hard. I love everything thing about her. Her looks, her personality, even her flaws. I have fallen hard... "Newt. Hellooo?" I heard y/n say. "Yes love" I reply "Dude you've been staring since she got here." Minho says wiggling his eyebrows teasingly. At this my eyes go wide and face gets hot and sweaty. "W-w-what I'm s-sorry y-y/n I didn't mean to." I mentally scold myself for stuttering. "It's ok newt." She says her face just as red as mine. "NEWT I NEED YOU!" Alby yells from across the glade. "So much for day off."I mumble but I guess y/n heard cause she giggled oh my god her giggle is cute I think as I walk to Alby "Newt what do you think about a fire tonight, I know we usually only do it on the days the greenie comes but y'all have been working hard." He asked "Yeah that should be fun!" I said.

-> time skip to bonfire->still newts pov

I was sitting looking at the fire secretly
Stealing glances at y/n. Just than Minho walks over and asks "do you want to play a game Jeff, y/n, Gally, Clint, chuck, frypan, and I are playing?" "Sure what game?" I ask back. "You'll see!"is all I get in reply. As I walk over I sit next to chuck and Minho. I notice that y/n sits across from Minho and I.  Just than Minho announced we will be playing truth or dare and he is first. "Frypan truth or dare?" He asks. "Dare." He says "I dare you to steal us some food from the kitchen." Minho replies. "Ok" and with that frypan walks of and comes back with cookies.
->time skip->
We have all been dared, no one has picked truth yet, and it is y/n's turn again "y/n truth or dare?" Minho asks. " Dare." She replies confidentially. "Alright I dare you to kiss the cutest guy here!"he tells her sounding excited.  Her eyes go wide and she slowly starts to me. Right then I start to get up because I can bare the thought of her kissing someone besides me, but Minho pulls me back down saying I can't leave then. I notice her come closer to Minho and I start to get upset but then she turns and I feel something soft and warm on my lips and I freeze.

Y/n POV

Minho tells me his dare and I start to worry what if newt doesn't like me back! what if I ruin our friendship! What if everything goes horrible and I am hated by everyone! But what if he does like me and I get my happily ever after!! Slowly I start to move towards them and i start to lean in towards Minho and with my last ounce of courage I slam my lips into newts.  I start to worry cause he's not kissing back and so I pull away and start to leave but then I hear my name get called by that one voice that would always make me melt so I start to run towards the deadheads going to my safe place I found when I got scared once last week.  Finally I get to where I want to be and I don't notice anyone around so I conclude that I lost him and I start to cry.  I cry because I've finally expressed my feelings and there not returned, I cry because I've had a fool of my self, and I cry because I probably lost my favorite friend in the world. Slowly I start to try and calm myself. Suddenly a tune comes to my head and I think that this is a better way to release my feelings than crying so I start to sing about my feelings.

Finally I finish my song and I hear clapping come from behind me. I turn around to see...yup you guessed it Newt. " hey." He says. "Hi" I say back. After a moment of silence I decide to break it. "Look I'm sorry for what I..." I'm interrupted by some thing warm and soft on my lips, but then it leaves just as quickly as it came. "Don't be sorry love I've loved you since you came up that bloody box, but I was scared you wouldn't like me because of my limp." He confesses. "Newt why would you think that?  I love you for who you are not what you look like," that's when I smirk," your looks are just a bonus!" He laughs at my last comment and starts to lean closer so I copy. After we pull away he ask those five words I've waited to hear for a long time "y/n will you be my girlfriend?" "Of course!!" I squeal.  This is the best night of my life and let's just say I owe Minho big time
