Chapter 2: Who Is Faster?

You face Yang, who blushes slightly. You turn the situation to your advantage, and ask, "Can you meet me outside after the school day ends?"
"Sure, why?" she asked.
"I need to admit something," you tell her, "Well, two things."
She hugs you and runs off. As you sigh, Cisco appears and said, "I ship it."
"Shut up," you say, "It's not official... yet!"
As the day ended, Harrison said that he had another lead on a meta-human. Kyle Nimbus, A.K.A the Mist, as Cisco named him. "What can he do?" you ask.
"He can turn his body into poisonous gas," Caitlin answered, "It's how he killed the Darbinyan Crime Family."
"Y/N," Harrison said, "Be careful, we don't know the effects his poison has."
You ran to where Kyle Nimbus was, where he was waiting for you. "I've heard about you, streak," he said, "That's what the media calls you."
"The media loves their names," you say,, "But I already have a name: Zoom!"

You rush at him, as his body turns to gas. You immediately run, but he is catching up. "HARRISON!" you yell through your speaker, "HE'S CATCHING UP! WHAT DO I DO?"
"Rotate your arms," he said, "Make a wind tunnel. That should revert him to his normal form."
You stop and rotate your arms, sucking out the air. he eventually turned back to his form, and said, "Clever trick." before you knocked him out.
"Kyle Nimbus is down," you say, "We got him."
You run back to Beacon and turn him over to Ozpin. You then go back to your dorm and stuff your ring in your pocket. "What are you taking the ring for?" Harrison asked.
"...I think it's time Yang knew my secret," you tell them, "And what we've been doing."
"No," Harrison said, "The more people who know, the more we risk of losing everything. Besides, Yang would tell this to whoever she wants."
"No, she won't," you say, "Because, if she does, she'd be placing them in danger."

You leave the room and find Yang. You take her behind the school, and she asked, "What do you want t--"
She's interrupted by you kissing her. She gasps, but eventually kisses back. "I couldn't hide how I feel anymore." you tell her.
She kisses you back, saying, "Neither could I."
You reach into your pocket, and begin, "I have something else I need to tell you. I'm--"
You're interrupted by a flurry of gold lightning. Yang is tossed away as the Man in White towers over you. "Hello again, Y/N," he said, "Fifteen years really flies by, doesn't it?"
"It was you," you say, standing up, "You were in my house that night! YOU KILLED MY MOTHER! WHY?"
"You'll have to catch me if you want to find that out," he said, running off, "Zoom."
As he leaves, you look down at your ring, then at Yang. Your costume comes out of your ring, as you tell her, "I didn't want you to find out this way!" before running after the Man in White.
As you ran, he sped off. You tried to follow him, but he was running circles around you. He eventually clotheslined you after you'd run around Vale five times. You looked up and saw you were back in Beacon. You got up, only to be hit by a flurry of punches. "It is your destiny to lose to me, Zoom," he said, "Just as it was your mother's destiny to die that night! Oh, and by the way, you already know that my name is Godspeed!"
"What do you mean by that?" you ask.
"We've been fighting for centuries," he answered, "Or, at least, we will!"
He then punched you so hard, half of your mask broke off.

Suddenly, his body stopped vibrating for a moment. "N-no," he said, scared, "You're lucky my Speed Force is fading, Zoom. See you soon." and with that, he rushed off.
You try to get up, but struggle. Yang eventually helps you, along with Cisco, Caitlin and Harrison. (A/N: In this story, Harrison Wells isn't in a wheelchair.) They help you to your dorm, and lay you on the bed. "That hurt." you say.
"He killed your mother," Yang said, "We need to catch him."
"No, no," Caitlin said, "Y/N needs to rest. He just got his *ss handed to him."
"He spoke as if I knew him personally," you say, "He said we've been fighting for centuries."
At that, something was slipped from under the door. Yang grabbed it and gasped. She handed it to you and you saw it was a picture. Of you, Yang, and someone else. The boy was labelled as 'ME!' You looked at the back and saw the picture was taken July 9th, 2049. "Guys," you say, "This means Godspeed is from the future... And he's my son."

Cardin's POV
I ran into my dorm. Thankfully, it was empty. I looked down, cursing Y/N's name.

*Cardin's Special Flashback*

I ran into the night, furious that Zoom had gotten his past self out of the house. Running down the road, I suddenly stumbled and fell. I tapped buttons on my suit, and Gideon appeared. "Gideon, what's happening to me?" I asked.
"Your last fight with Zoom drained your power," Gideon answered, "There's no trace of the Speed Force in your DNA."
"How am I supposed to get back?" I asked.
"You can't." Gideon answered.
