Chapter 3: Gorilla Infestation

*Future Vision/ Dream*

You ran after Godspeed down the street. Noticing you'd gone back in time to THAT night, you followed him into your house. You both circled your mother, getting in multiple punches and kicks. Just as child you arrived, Godspeed lunged at him, but you kicked him into a wall and rushed child you out of the house.

*End of Dream*

You sat up, panting heavily. Your team was asleep, undisturbed by your panting. You threw on a top and went out of the room. Everyone at Beacon knew now that you were Zoom, so there was no point in hiding it. You run outside, clutching your aching jaw. The punch from Godspeed, now identified as your future son, still hurt furiously. Eventually, you were approached by Yang. "Hey." she said.
"Hey." you say, looking down.
"You okay?" she asked.
"I-I guess," you say, "Just had a weird dream."
"About what?" she asked.
"I-I was there that night," you explain, "But not as a child... As Zoom."
Yang hugged you tightly, comforting you. Eventually, you got a call from Harrison. "Yeah?" you ask.
"There's a disturbance in the sewers below Vale," he said, "Check it out."

You face Yang, and say, "I need to go."
Before you do, you touch her shoulder and transfer part of your semblance. "What did you just do to me?" she asked.
"Gave you part of the Speed Force," you answer, "If you're gonna be my girlfriend, you need to defend yourself from my enemies somehow."
You kiss her and run off. Eventually getting to the sewers, your mind suddenly gives off images of that night. You grab your head and groan on the floor. "Grodd... Hate... Zoom..." someone said as a giant gorilla appeared.
"Great..." you groan, "A psychic... Gorilla..."
You run as fast as you can, but Grodd catches up with you and throws you into a wall. Groaning, you roll over as Grodd throws you up through the concrete ceiling. You get up in a street. Grodd comes up through the ground and beats the living daylights out of you.

You eventually conjure up all of your strength, deflect Grodd's blow, and knock him out. "Harrison," you say, "The disturbance was a telepathic Gorilla. The pipeline can't hold him. We need to convince him he's not feared."
"That's going to be impossible, father." you hear a voice from behind you.
You turn to see Godspeed. Turning back you see Grodd is gone. "Why?" you ask, "Why did you kill her?"
"I told you why," he said, "Because I couldn't kill you."
You run at him, but he deflects your blow and punches you into a building. "You cannot stop me, father," he spat, "Just like you could not stop the death of your Mother!"
Suddenly, a female speedster appeared and punched Godspeed in the back. "Stay away from him." she said.
"Hehehe," he chuckled, "Hello, mother. So, he finally shared the Speed Force with you?"
She ran at Godspeed, only to get her shot deflected. "Even both of you don't stand a chance against me."
I faced her, and said, "Yang? Is that you?"
"Yes," she said, "But you can call me Trajectory."

We ran at Godspeed, him deflecting both our attacks and overpowering us. Eventually, his movements slowed and he stopped fighting. "No... Not now..." he groaned.
He faced us and said, "Our race is not yet over, parents." And with that, he raced off.

Cardin's POV

I raced back to Beacon, and put on a formal suit. I was going to talk to Weiss Schnee's father. "Ah, hello, Cardin." he greeted me.
"Pleasure, Mr Schnee," I said, "Now, what did you need to see me about?"
"About this streak," he told me, "The media calls him Zoom. I need your help. To capture him. Think of what we could achieve from his powers. We could change what it means to be human. This Zoom guy is the key, and I WILL get him!"
I drew my knife. "I cannot help you," I said, bringing the knife to his gut, "Because, if I do, my life will be forfeit. You may think this is personal, but it isn't. It's just that Zoom must be kept... safe."
I watched as the old man's life ebbed away at my feet. I dropped the knife next to the body and ran off.
