The Star-child of Mars : The Stardust Curse (Updated version)

Chapter 10

With some luck Sam and Ziggy found Zee's Cell. "Open the door human," Ziggy ordered.

Sam punched in the cell code.

The door opened, Zee's eyes opened sharply startled in fright backing away, knowing this was end, But to their surprise it wasn't facility staff , Zee wasn't prepared for for who came to their rescue, Sam stood outside the cell as Ziggy walked inside coming face to face for the first time with his only child in years.

"Dad....." Zee gasped in complete shock, they slowly made their way over to the older Martian. 

"This is impossible, you can't be here I have to be dreaming or those earthlings have drugged me up with some weird drugs I must be hallucinating ...."

"No Zee your not dreaming or hallucinating , I'm very much real my little star." Ziggy beamed, opening his arms out to Zee.

It took a moment for everything to Sink in then Zee wasted no time in throwing their arms around their father. "I thought no one was going to come for me...." Zee sobbed. Ziggy could feel Zee trembling, he held them close comforting  his child for all they were worth.

"My precious Star child I'll never let them take you away or even harm you," Ziggy vowed in a menacing tone his eyes full of fire a side rarely seen in the elder Martian, as he gazed angrily towards Sam. 

"Just you watch Earthling if you even dare to try... ".

Deep within another cell , Thomas sat curled up in the corner of the room. He had been left alone for what felt like hours upon hours, He was full fear and dread. 

His mind was doing him no favours his thoughts turning to young Zee.

He was still reliving  that ghastly moment, he could still hear the young Martian's cries for help replaying in his mind like a film. At that moment his train of thought was broken when the cell door opened, He raised his head slightly to see a young woman who sneaked quietly inside as if she really wasn't supposed to be in the room.

Thomas filched in cowering in fear. "It....It's alright.. I'm not here to hurt you. "She  said trying reassured him as she got closer to him.

"Why do you care what happens to me."

"Cause I have a heart, not us Earthlings are bad, I think what they are doing to you and that young one is wrong, sick even, if you will come with me, I can get you and the little one out of here, but we must hurry! Please.. come!"

Thomas didn't move a muscle from the corner. "Please don't waste your time with me just do me one thing and save my young god child, They have a whole life ahead of them, mines is not worth living anymore."

Joan carefully knelt down beside him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Mr Newton, don't talk like that youngster needs you." He didn't even look in the eye. She was just about to speak when suddenly the alarm sirens  staring blaring. "Oh Shit" .

"What is it!? What's going on". 

Before she could even answer him she rushed out the cell. She saw Security guards were rushing around. "What going on.?"

"One of the subjects has escaped Dr Rhodes, Dr Bryce has the placed whole compound on full grade 3 lockdown." One the guards explained before rushing off. Joan looked back at Thomas .

"Stop them!!!!, Don't let them get away!" Someone ordered. Joan looked to see Zee and another Male  with the same striking red hair running down the corridor like a bat out of hell. 

"Quick in here Both of you!" 

The two darted quickly into the Cell. 

"Tommy!!"  

Thomas raised his head. "Zee?" He jumped to his feet rushing over to the young Martian scoping them into his arms, hugging them tightly. "Oh thank god... your safe and sound they didn't harm you." 

"Quick men they dived into that cell!!" A guard's voice called out.

"Sorry to break this up, but we need to get out of here and fast." Ziggy said. 

Thomas was completely speechless when he saw the sight of his dear friend who  very much alive and well "Oh my god Ziggy..... but how....."

Ziggy knew this wasn't the time nor the place to explain how he was alive, " Tommy is nice to see you, but I'll explain later right now we need to get out of here."  

Joan rushed over to the cell vent. "Quickly  use that ray gun of your to blow off the cover, you an escape through here. I will try and hold them off."

Ziggy aimed the gun and fired some shots damaging the screws and the vent cover. While Joan rushed out locking the cell door behind her to buy them some time. She could hear the guards coming closer.

Ziggy picked up placing them inside, Zee slide down first to freedom, Ziggy then aided the all ready weakened Thomas next into the vent before climbing in beside him, both Sliding down the vent and hoping for the best.

The cell vent ended outside the compound, Ziggy and Zee hurried across the grounds still aiding Thomas, this place was not as secure as the Earthlings thought it would be that 3 aliens could find it easy to escape from. 

"Now what to we do? They will stop at nothing to capture us again...." Zee said. 

A cheeky mischievous grin appeared on the older Martian's face. "Oh my little Zee never underestimate the Martian race and your dear old dad."

Zee looked very confused by his answer. "Why? What did you do?"

Unknown to the guards and the staff, Ziggy had placed small metal sphere along his path which began to unleash some sort of red gas, but lucky for the Earthlings this type of Gas was not intended to kill, is purpose was to erase the memories of everyone, that would insure that it was protect Zee, himself and Thomas's true alien identities from the world and that they could live a normal life in peace.
