Chapter 27

Carli's POV:

Me and Sophia finally landed at LAX for the national team camp, it was actually easier then I though with Sophia.

She was sleeping most of the flight and when it landed so I just had her in her stroller while walking to baggage claim to get our baggage's.

What was hard was trying to cover Sophia's face when the photographers saw her.

She was a hug hit for photographers since her parents are Kelley and Alex and they are no longer here, so the media wants to see the only thing they have left of them.

I know Kelley and Alex tried to keep her identity private from social media, reporters and photographers. Their was only one occasion the media got pictures, but now since me, Kelley and Alex's family talked about how we should go about pictures begin taken of Sophia we decided to respect Kelley and Alex's wishes and keep her away from the media.

We want Sophia to be her own person and not feel pressured to be like her parents because they we're professional  athletes

"Ok Sophia I'm going to keep this over you, just go back to sleep" I knee down to Sophia in the stroller as I put a cover over it so photographers couldn't get pictures of her.

Right as we got down the escalators a mod of photographers from diff news agencies start screaming my name and had the flash on the cameras.

"Carli! Can we see Sophia?!" Photographers scream as they start walking backwards and stay in front of me.

"No, you won't get to see her, let her live her life in peace!" I shout

"Has she started walking yet?" A reporter says as she Squeezes herself through all of the photographers

"Yes, she has started walking, no further comment" I say as I speed walk past all the people to get our baggage's and head to the hotel.

At the hotel

"Carli, we've missed you!" Mal says while I walking into the lobby with Sophia in my arms

"It's great to be back, their is no media people here right? Kelley and Alex's family agreed we should try and hide Sophia from the media as much as we can to respect their wishes of her living her own life without media following her" I say

"No, not they I know of, here let me help you carry some stuff up to your room, you are rooming with Amy for this camp" Mal says while picking up some luggage to bring to the elevator

"Thank you Mal, I appreciate it"

"No problem" Mal says as she looks down at Sophia sleeping in the stroller now

"Have you noticed she has started to look a lot like Kelley? I know before people said she was Alex's twin but I see more Kelley in her"

I look down at Sophia and tilt my head

"Wow you are right, she looks a lot like Kelley's baby pictures she would show us" I say in amazement

"You should have her take the same picture Kelley on her baby pictures with outfits that kinda match what she wore when she was little" as we step off the elevator

"That would be a great idea, I'll have to do that when we get back to New Jersey and take her shopping" I say while we walk down the hall to my room

"And hire a good photographer for the photoshoot, heck we could do a few of the pictures our photographers took for Kelley for the US Soccer website here, that would be so cute to see Sophia in a national team outfit!" Mal says

"Maybe, I don't even have a uswnt Jersey for her that I brought because she grew out of all her old ones" I say

"Oh that's not a problem, we can find her one" Mal says as I walk into me and Amy's room

"Oh and team dinner is at 8:00, I'll leave you two alone till then, bye Sophia!" Mal says before leaving.
