Chapter 30

Carli's POV:

During camp I kept thinking about the box Kelley and Alex left me, it was back home in my closet still sealed.

All this camp I was debating weather to open it, some teammates said just to open it and others said to wait.

I had no idea what could be in it, journals? Pictures? Who knows but I'll find out once I get back

At breakfast I decided to sit with Allie because her and Alex we're attached to the hip I wanted to ask her some stuff that only her many only knew about Alex.

"Hey Allie" I say while walking over to her table with Sophia

"Oh hi Carli, what's up?" Allie says while mixing some yogurt and fruit up

"Well I wanted to ask you about Alex a little but more, Alex and Kelley left me a box with stuff in it and ai have no idea what it could be, but I wanted to ask you some questions you probably could answer" I saw while eating some cereal

"Hmmhm, go right ahead" while sipping on some water

"Did you know a Evelyn?" I say

Allie then choked on her water

"I'm sorry what?" While trying not to choke on her drink

"A Evelyn? I remember Alex talking about her in the olympics in 2012 and I wanted to see if you knew this Evelyn" I say

Allie then looks to see if anyone is listening to them

"Evelyn, me and Alex we're best friends, Evelyn and Alex we're more friends then the three of us, before the olympics Alex got introduced to Kelley on a blind date. Alex was so excited for this date she kept texting me thinking who it could be. (just got with it that Alex and Allie knew each other at this time) but hear me out I had no idea that Evelyn and Kelley knew each other till a little bit later, and Sophia gets her Middle name from her, Alex and Kelley wanted to remember their friend for who she was so they said if they ever had kids they wanted to name their daughter Evelyn but you know that changed" Allie says after eating her yogurt and looking up at me

"Ya But-"

"They liked Sophia more and though Evelyn would go well as the middle name to pay tribute to her, since she died in the car crash the night she was supposed to meet them, nothing was the same for Alex, Kelley was able to move past it. Alex just was different and the wedding gif-" Allie says

"What wedding gift? We never saw it and the house while packing it up" I say curiously

"Huh?"

And then Allie stays silent for a few minutes then speaks up

"You might actually want to look in that box, it will explain a lot more then I give you." Allie says before getting up from her seat

Sophia was playing around with pinoe and Mal so I knew she was fine

I catch up to Allie and stop her

"You know what's in the box don't you?" I say trying to edge her to say what I should expect to find

"No but Alex did talk to me about it, she never told me what she was going to do with it but since you said you never found Evelyn gift I think it could in there but I could be completely wrong"

*The gift will be opened in a few  chapters in a flashback to Kelley and Alex's wedding :) I have a few more chapters of Kelley and Alex at the camp they meet at and some other stuff so it will be soon though*

"Thanks Allie" before I walk back to breakfast area to get Sophia back upstairs to get changed for the day since she loves to make messes with her food

As I walk in I see Sophia waddling around with mal's phone in hand trying to get into her phone

"Sophia, come on, give me my phone! You are just like Kelley..." Mal says while trying to get Sophia

"Haha how is that Mal?" While watching the free entertainment

Mal stops and looks up

"Because Kelley loved to do stupid little things like stealing other people's stuff"  Mal says before chasing Sophia again

I step in front of Sophia while she is running around a table

"Oh Sophia, you are just like your Mommy" I say laughing

"Wow Mal got out ran by a toddler? This gold" Ashlyn says at her seat

"How do you expect me to chase a kid who is crawling under table and popping out from each end of the table... she gets her energy from Alex... baby horse jr."

"Haha, she's a kid, they all have a ton of energy, right Soph? Let give Mal her phone back ok? You can play with your toy phone in our room"

Sophia looks up from my side and gives the classic Alex smile that makes your heart melt

"Here Mal, we got to go upstairs and change this one" I say before leaving

"Bye Soph,see you guys later" Mal says

In the room

"Ok Soph, let's see what we have for you to wear"

"Hmm black would be to hot for this wear, oh here we go! A little white dress with a gold headband"

Sophia starts clapping and giggling on the bed

"Well that's good to know you like it haha"
