Alex's POV (cause I forgot the rest of it wasn't and just realised 😂)
"Are you sure you want to sleep on your own?" I ask the neko who's tucked up under turtle covers in a turtle onesie... Have I mentioned his room is all turtles themed besides the wall and furniture (which Eliza is demanding we change)? 🐢
"Yes Lexi!" Oh I hope he's right.
I turn his light off and head to my own room to work through emails and correct documents and-
"Leeeeeeeeeeex!"
"God damn it John." Now I'm walking back to the room, to lean against the doorframe and stare at the little guy. "What is it?"
"Read me a story, pweeeeeeeeeeeeease."
"... I don't have any."
"Aw but I can't sleep on my own without a story."
Sighing, I rub my temples. "Well there's nothing I can do about that."
"... Sleep with me?"
"I won't fit."
He moves up and opens the covers for me.
"I mean it's a single bed, it only fits one person."
And now he's pouting.
"Fine but if I fall out of the bed, I told you so."
"Okay!"
I get into the bed, we're lying closer than I was to him in my (Queen sized) bed. I'm practically on top of him and vice versa. Also his tail is squishing around near my face.
"Night Lex."
"Night."
And guess I won't be working for awhile... Maybe I could sneak away when he falls asleep and things. Worked the other times I shared and I needed to work.
"Oh Lex."
"Yes?"
"Go to sleep. And don't sneak off it's mean."
"... Psychic neko."
"No you always do it."
"Oh... Okay then."
Now he's purring. "Thank chu Lex."
I suppose I could sleep for a bit.
