Chapter 36: Where else am I gonna go?

"Bella?", I hear

I wake up and I feel like shit, I was met with my mom right in front of me with a warm smile.

"honey?", she asks

My body aches and my head hurt badly.

"where is he where's Bruno?", I asked

"he is asleep", She says and nods towards him

I turned to see him asleep while sitting up but I do see a cast and sling on his arm.

"he never leaves of course", she smiles

I look over my body and see that my arms were covered with gauze bandages, my right leg was covered up with a gauze bandage, and my wrist was in a cast. I look around the room to see a whole bunch of flowers, thousands of cards, a lot of candy, and many stuff animals.

"what happened?", I asked

"well those crazy women cut you really bad, and you did lose a lot of blood", she says

I nodded

"um, from what I know you fell down the stairs along with Bruno, Jessica inserted you with I think phencyclidine and psychostimulants", she says

I give her a weird look.

"I practiced saying it before you woke up", she laughed

"where is everyone?", I asked

"they are getting some food and was waiting for you to wake up", she says

"you should go down and get some food and tell them I am awake", I say

"I am kind of hungry...I will be back in a few", She says

I nodded, she kisses my head, and leaves.

I look for my call light and I press it. The nurse immediately came in and she had a smile on her face.

"Your awake finally", she says

I give her an odd look, "How long have I've been out?", I asked

"five days", she answers, and she starts checking my body

I nodded. My throat is dryer than a desert.

"Can I get some water?", I ask

"Yes, you may", She says

"How's he?", I ask and nodded towards Bruno

"He is fine, he was shot in his arm, and so he has to keep that on for a month", she says

"what?"

"Um, I don't know the details, but he was shot the bullet didn't go through his arm. But he needed surgery to get it out because it was that deep", she says

I gasped.

"Um...what's the deal with me?", I ask

" We weren't sure if you were going to make it", she says sadly

"That bad?"

"You were bleeding a lot and we had to get blood drawn to for you, you have cuts all over you that were bleeding and some were infected, you had a gash in your inner thigh, your wrist is fractured, we stitch the cuts, you also had a gash in your head which was stitched up as well, and we got that stuff she put into your veins out just in time ", She explains

I blew a gust of wind out. That's a lot.

"How long will it take for me to recover?" I ask

"Maybe a month maybe less"

"I'm breastfeeding so can I still do that?", I ask

"Yes, you sure can"

I nodded.

"Can I walk?" I ask

"I believe you can, but your legs might feel sore. Not to sore but sore as if you just came back from running 3 miles", she explains

"Okay, um can I have some food too?"

"What would you like. It's Lunch time?"

"Maybe a Ham and cheese sandwich with Mayonnaise"

She nods.

"I'll get your water first", she says

I nodded, she then leaves, and I turned towards Bruno and he stirs. He then wakes and looks at me.

"where's Jessica...Porsha", I asked

He sighs. "they are in the hospital...arrested", he says

He gets up and sits down beside me.

"I am alive because you", I say

He scoffs. "you're in here because of me", he says

I give him a questioned look.

"I was in a relationship with these women and I broke them. I made them like this and they are crazy cause I couldn't give them what I am giving you", He says

"what are you saying?", I asked and felt my body warming up

"what if we take another break so you can think if you want to go through this...go through with me", He suggests

"what?", I asked

He puts his head down and sighs. Was he thinking of breaking up because of this shit? After everything we've been through.

"No, No I mean are you going crazy. We just got back together, I mean what are you talking about. You want me to leave and just share the kids again, I can't just leave you, NO!", I cried

"Bella, please calm down"

"you can't leave me...we can't be apart", I say and felt myself calming down

"I know, I know", he says and rubs his arm

"How is your arm?", I ask

"the pain comes and goes"

I nodded, and we just sit in silence.

"You can't say stuff like that to...ever", I say

He stands over me. "where else am I going to go?"

I felt my eyes water as he leans down to kiss my head then kiss my lips.

"I love you"

"I love you too"
