Chapter 9

Previously on Chapter 8

I turn around and enter my home. Then went straight to my bedroom. I chance my outfit to a pair of pyjamas. Then I lay on my bed, looking up at the ceiling. Then I turn to lay on my side and close my eyes. Slowly... I drift of to sleep.

-You Told Me Not To Wait-

Y/N P.O.V

It's been a few days. Naruto kept his promise. He's being really sweet to me. He really shows me how much he loves me.

I woke up to the sound of knocking at the door. I get up from the bed, then I make my way to the door. I open it to reveal Naruto. He have his hand behind his back, with a huge grin on his face.

"Morning, Y/N-Chan!" He said, happily. "Good morning to you too, Naruto" I said, with a soft smile. He take his hand out behind his back to reveal a cute F/A (Fav Animal) plush. "This is for you..." He said, with a red cheek. I smile happily and take it from him.

"D-do you like it?" He ask. "Like it? I love it... This is my favourite animal! And it's so cute~" I said. He sighs in relief "I'm glad you like it..." He said. He walks towards me, then he wraps his arm around my waist. He pulls me closer to him and peck my lips repeatedly. I giggle with every peck he gave me. Then he ends it with a long, loving kiss. I respond and wrap my arms around his neck.

We pull away for air. Not that I need to, but he needs to breathe. He place his forehead against mine. "I love you, Y/N-Chan..." He said. I smile softly in return. He knew that I'm not ready to say 'I love you' back, because I still love Sasuke. It makes me feel bad to do so. But he's being so patient with me.

Time-skip

Naruto end up taking me on a sweet date. We hang out around the village, doing anything we have in mind. Naruto uses his saving for me. He ignored my argument and he didn't let me pay.... At all.

Now we sit near a lake. Naruto have his arm around my shoulder. I lay my head on his. I smile softly as I watch the sun beginning to set.

Even though my body is as cold as ice, Naruto didn't seem to mind it. We sit in comfortable silence, until he decide to break it. "Hey Y/N-Chan..." I heard him calling out for me. I turn my head to look at him. "Yeah?" I asks. "Thank you..." He said, looking down at me. I look at him, confused. "Thank you? For what?" I asks. "For giving me a chance..." He said. I smile at him "you're welcome..." I said. Then I laid my head back on his shoulder.

Soon it's starting to get late. Naruto gets up before me. He offers his hand for me. "Let's get you home..." He said. I nod my head and place my hand on his. Then we start walking towards my home, hand in hand.

Soon we get there. Naruto turn me to face him. Then he wraps his arms around my waist. He place a soft kiss on my forehead. Then he lean down and kiss my lips. I wrap my arms around his neck.

Then he lean his forehead against mine. "I love you..." He said. I smile at him. I still can't say the words back to him. I struggle to say the word back. Naruto notice this and he smiles at me. "It's okay... If you can't say it back yet... It's okay... I understand..." He said. I smile softly at him. "Thank you so much for understanding, Naruto..." I said. He smiles and gives me a quick peck. "I should get going now..." He said. "Okay..." I said. He smiles and pulls away from me. He wave at me, then turn to leave.

I just stare at his back. I enter my house once he's out of sight. I walk up to my room. I turn the lights on and lean myself against the door.

I close my eyes as I continue to lean against the door. "Do you have a nice date?" I jump at the sudden voice. I quickly turn my head towards the voice. My eyes widened when I realise there is someone sitting on my bed.

My eyes widened even more, when I realise who it was. "S-Sasuke... W-what are you doing here?" I asks. He gets up and walk towards me. He reach out to hold me, but I take a step away from him. "So now that you're with him... You won't let me hold you? You love that idiot now instead of me, huh?" He said. I narrow my eyes at him after he said that "Don't bring Naruto into our problem, Sasuke... Don't talk about him like that. This problem is between you and me..." I said. He nods his head, then he looks at me again. "That's true... But you still belong to me... We haven't broke it off yet!" He said. I nod my head "yeah... You're right, then let's end it now" I said, with no emotion.

His eyes widened "you're joking..." He said. "Do I look like I was joking?" I said. He stayed silent "why did you decide to end it so sudden? Is it because of that idiot? You love him more than me?" He said. "It's not him, okay?!" I yell, causing him to jump.

Tears begin to stream down my eyes. "I can't do this anymore..." I start. He looks at me in shock. "It hurts... Waiting for you is killing me, Sasuke... I pretended to be okay in front of everyone, but I'm not... can't you see that?! I can't do this anymore..." I said, as I start to cry more. "But I told you I'd come back soon... Can't you wait a little longer?" He said. I shake my head "how long is soon, Sasuke? Another 10 years? 20? Or never??" I said.

He stayed silent, still looking at me in shock. My lips starts to tremble as more tears stream down my cheeks. I shake my head "you told me yourself... if it hurts to wait, then don't! You said it yourself! Now I've decide... I'm not gonna wait for you anymore... I'm gonna forget about us, and everything we've been through... Starting today, I don't know who Uchiha Sasuke is... All I know is a traitor..." I said. "B-But-" I cut him off, before he could say any further. "Shut up! We're done.... Get out of my house..." I said. "Y/-" again, I cut him off. "I SAID GET OUT!!" I scream at top of my lungs. That shuts him up. He nod his head. Then he walks towards the window. Before he get out, he turn to look at me. "I love you, Y/N..." He said. I can see a lone tear stream down his cheek, then he's out of sight.

I fall on my knees as I start to cry even harder. Someone enters my room through the window. "Y/N-Chan!" The person said, pulling me into a hug. I look up to see Naruto. "What's wrong? I heard you scream... Did something happened?" He asks. I didn't say anything, I just clutch his shirt as I continue to cry. He gets the picture that I don't want to talk, so he stayed silent and keep me in his arms.

I start to feel exhausted from all the screaming and crying. I give in and close my eyes. Slowly drift off to sleep in Naruto's arms.
