After he finished his bath, I wrapped a shroud on him and we left. He stopped randomly again, it must be one of his strange habits. This time I didn't bump into him though, I don't want him to faint because he touched a mongrel indirectly. Hmm, but... if he is a demigod, doesn't mean that he is half mongrel as well? Let's not ask him that, I love my life for the time being.

"What is it, Gilgamesh?" I inquired.

He gestured towards a large window.

"It's already dark outside. I can't believe I spent almost all day with you." he noted.

"And that's a problem?"

"Well, I'm not sure about that."

"Was there any other servant you wanted to spend time with?" I don't know why, but I started to feel jealous a bit when in fact I should be happy that I won't be the only possible victim.

"Unfortunately, not."

"How so? This palace or whatnot is huge!"

"I mean, there are other servants of course, a lot of them actually, but you're my only personal servant."

"What happened to your other personal servants?"

"They all disappeared under mysterious circumstances..." he grinned pretending like he didn't know anything about them. I'm sure he does, though.

"Is that so? Do you know anything about the reason why they disappeared?" I interrogated him.

"Nothing at all. All I know is they misbehaved before doing so." his face was dead serious and he looked like he tries to recall the details.

"Do you mean this as a... warning?"

"You should learn from other people's mistakes." he turned away from me for a moment, just to turn back a slight momentum later. "Otherwise it might not end you well either." he gave me a sinister look I've ever seen before on his face, and hopefully won't see it again neither.

"Su-sure thing, my king!" I stuttered, suddenly losing my confidence. Which is worse; to him.

"Splendid." he declared, his face lightening up immediately changing the grave atmosphere. "Now go and rest, it's already late. Or do whatever you want, just be silent. I don't want anything to interrupt my nap or sleep or... peace." he added swiftly after finishing the sentence before.

I just stood there in quietude, as if I didn't hear anything of what he just announced.

"Did you hear me?" he asked with a demanding voice.

I quickly responded, trying to avoid his rage.

"Y-yes I did."

"Then, why didn't you respond?"

"It's because..." I gulped "I... don't really remember where my room is supposed to be." I admitted while smiling sheepishly and looking at the floor, as if I was a child who did something inappropriate and now was confronted by their parents.

"Oh really?" he laughed "Sometimes I can't believe how incapable of living some of you mongrels are! You always seem to surprise me!" he most certainly enjoyed insulting others and it was one of his favorite hobbies.

I felt defeated so I sighed.

He started walking away slowly, I thought he will just leave me there to make me admit my defeat and of course, suffer. If you can't find your room, you will sleep on the cold floor made of rocks, seems legit.

Then he suddenly turned back with an impatient face.

"Come on, I already spent all day with you, I don't intend to do the same with my night!" he hastened me. I examined his facial features with a flabbergasted gaze, as if I didn't understand his words.

"What's wrong?" he asked with a puzzled look. "I'm offering you to show you where you'll sleep so you won't lie on the floor like corpse and you stare at me as if I asked for your hand in marriage or something!" he exclaimed and I shook my head.

"Sorry... I just thought that you are going to leave me here without any further remarks." I grinned "Seems like you have a heart after all."

"I almost regret being so nice." he groaned.

"Okay, a relatively small heart." I hissed.

"WHAT?" he seemed offended.

"I mean, no heart is bigger than yours, my king." I tried my best to smile without laughing. He cooled off, and decided to walk into the direction he firstly intended to go in.

I followed him happily, not only because I get to sleep in a normal place finally, also because he showed some kind of kindness towards me. Maybe I will forgive him for calling me a mongrel.

This day wasn't so bad, I almost managed to change my opinion about being a servant.
