SEVEN

[Ethan's POV]

"Elle, you need to eat something" I said as I watched her ignore me and walk further up the stairs, I thought about going after her but thought it be best not to,

"What's wrong with Elle?" Mum asked as the three of us walked into the kitchen,

"We don't know" I said sadly, "she's been like this all day"

"She threw up her breakfast this morning th-" Caleb started but mum cut him off,

"She was sick again?" She asked,

"Again?" Caleb asked,

"She was sick last night as well" mum told us,

"There's defiantly something wrong with her," Aiden piped up, "It's like she's not all there" Aiden continued, "she doesn't want to speak to us about her wolf she always changed the subject, she's 'ill' and wolves never get ill, she's still wearing her glasses, she sti-"

"Okay Aiden, we get the picture" I said stopping him,

"What do you think is wrong with her?" Caleb asked, looking at mum as dad walked through the door,

"You shouldn't force an answer out of her" mum stated,

Dad placed his briefcase onto the counter, "What's going on?" He asks suspiciously,

"Something's wrong with Elle" I said.

Caleb, Aiden and I went on to explain to dad the fact she had been sick twice, basically not eaten anything all day and was so tired she could barely stand. Also that face that she doesn't want to speak to us about her wolf, she still wears her glasses, everything.

He listened intently and nodded when we had finished, turning to my mum, "Maybe you should go and talk to her" he said to her, "This sounds like a girlthing"

"A girl thing?" Aiden laughed, "It's more than that!"

Dad shook his head and laughed, "Do you really want Elle talking to you about boys? About female problems?"

We all scrunched our faces up. We defiantly didn't want to hear about any female problems. My brothers and I agreed it would be best to let mum go and speak to Elle first before we tried to get whatever it was out of her.

We all sat and had dinner, without Elle, it didn't feel weird as we had sat at this table for over a year and had dinner without her – but I still kind of felt she should be here.

After dinner was over, mum told us to clean up the dishes whilst she went and spoke to Elle. Dad had already gone to his office.

I really hoped that Elle would talk to mum, she wasn't right and it needed to be sorted.

[Elle's POV]

I awoke to my mum shaking my shoulder gently and saying my name.

I opened my eyes and looked up at her, "Huh?"

"I just came to bring you a drink" she said, placing the glass of water onto my bedside table,

"Thanks" I said as I sat up and grabbed it, taking a mouthful.

It was only now I realised I had fallen asleep with the clothes I wore to school on, even my shoes and was laid the wrong way across the bed.

"Honey?" my mum says, taking a seat on the bed next to me, "You'd tell me if there was anything wrong right?" she says looking worried,

Oh my god, she knows. I've been caught out. She knows I didn't turn on my sixteenth birthday and she's told dad and my brother. They all know, they all know and I'm going to be labelled the 'freak' and be thrown out of the family and the pack.

No, play it cool. They don't know anything. I collected my thoughts and replied, "Of course, mum. Why? What are you on about?"

"Your brothers are worried about you, they told me what happened this morning and at school. At lunch time, you didn't eat anything, then almost fainted when you stood up" she says, "Then you didn't have dinner tonight? Why aren't you eating honey?"

"I just wasn't hungry" I said back to her, confused with the sudden bombardment, "I just still felt a bit sickly from last night and this morning"

"You can talk to me about stuff you know Elle, anythingyou need to talk about, you can talk with me about it, if its female problems, boy problems, anything"

"Mum seriously, I'm fine" I said to her, "there's nothing I need to talk to you about"

She sighed, and I felt bad. "Okay honey," she stood up and walked towards my door, "just remember what I said okay? You can talk to me, or your dad, about anything"

She shut the door behind her and I slumped back onto the bed. I felt bad lying to my mum, but I had to. I didn't know what would happen if I told my family I hadn't changed.

I got ready for bed after drinking my glass of water. I lay there awake for what felt like hours. I looked at the time on the clock on my bedside table, 1:30 it read. Oh my god I am going to be tired tomorrow.
