SEVENTEEN

I awake to the sun screaming through my eyelids. I wince as I try to open my eyes and quickly shut them as I am blinded by the sun.

"Elle," I hear a male's voice say,

I turn towards the voice and sit up, rubbing my eyes as I force them open.

"Take it slowly," the voice says. I feel the bed dip and a hand on my shoulder,

I look over and see Alex sat on the edge of the bed.

"What the h-" I say quickly getting out of bed and looking around the room. I quickly realised of course, that I was not in my own room. What the hell had happened last night? Why was I in Alex's bed?

"Elle, calm down," he says standing up, and walking over to me,

I put my hands up defensively so he doesn't come any closer. "What happened? Why am I here?"

"You can't remember?"

"Obviously not that's why I'm asking!" I say sarcastically,

"I found you, in the middle of the woods," he starts to explain, "On our territory, you said you got lost and I was going to take you home, but you had a funny turn again, something happened"

My face turned to shock. Oh god. It was all coming back to me now. The conversation with my parents and brothers, walking out into the middle of the woods and Alex finding me. The blood and then passing out.

The 'almost' kiss.

Wait...did that happen, or did I dream that?

"My house was way closer than yours, so I bought you back here, changed you an-"

"You changed me," I quickly looked down at myself and realised I wasn't wearing my 'pyjamas' anymore, but an oversized t-shirt and some sort of bottoms.

I felt my face heat up, "I can't believe you did that, you had no r-"

"Elle, you had blood all over you," he explained, "I wasn't just going to leave you"

It was nice that he'd done that. But I can't believe he'd seen me like that.

"You have nothing to be embarrassed about," he says quietly, coming over to me and grabbing my hand, with his other hand he tilts my face up so I'm looking at him.

Oh my god. Here we go again, I can feel myself being pulled into those deep eyes. It's like they're never ending, that I could look at them forever.

I feel his breath fan over my face as he breaths and feel his face a centimetre away from mine. We were so close that our lips graze together.

Suddenly, there was a loud knock at the door.

Alex groans loudly and shouts, "Not now!"

Alex moves away from me quickly and heads towards the door as it opens. He puts his foot there to stop it from opening anymore, "I said, not now"

"We're going to be late for school," I recognise the voice as Finns,

"I'm busy at the m-"

Finn laughs loudly, "What are you hiding in here man?" he forces the door open and pushes past Alex. His eyes scan the room and settle on me.

I felt my cheeks go red. What must he have thought happened? Is he going to think Alex and I are a thing? Is he going to tell anyone? What will happen if my brother's find out?
