Third Person

Today is little Jeydon's first Christmas, Ella-Mae and Ashton work hard to try and make it unforgettable for him- even though they both know that he won't remember it at all. They place glittery footprints on the floor leading from the front door to the Christmas tree, that is on display for everyone to see, right in front of their balcony doors. There's a load of presents underneath the tree, most of them for Jeydon, some of them not. There's a half eaten cookie left on the plate by the tree, as well as half a glass of milk and a carrot with a bite taken out of it. Jeydon woke up at around 3am, crying and wouldn't go back to sleep until he was comfortably wedged between his mum and dad. He woke up again at 8, deciding that he has gotten the full amount of sleep for the day. Ella-Mae and Ashton, however, groaned in frustration at their lack of sleep. They themselves never went to bed until two and had only been asleep around a half hour, before Jeydon decided he wanted to join them. Instead of letting his parents sleep a tad longer, Jeydon grabs his bottle of milk and pushes at the teat, then milk starts squirting out, landing directly on Ashton's nose. Ashton groans in disgust, leading to a loud giggle exiting the almost one-year-old. Ashton wipes his nose and throws a small glare at his sleeping fiancée.

"Get mummy, Jeydon, get mummy." Ashton says, pointing towards Ella-Mae's sleeping form, Jeydon giggles again, then points his bottle towards his mum. He pushes again, the milk squirts out all over Ella-Mae's face. As she lets out a grunt of disgust, the father and son duo giggle at her, "well done, high five?" Ashton says, holding his hand out to the small child, Jeydon looks at him then slaps his thigh instead.

"Let's go get you some breakfast, we can leave mummy to sleep a bit more." Ashton says, getting out of the bed and picking Jeydon up, Ella-Mae throws him a quick glare, whilst she wipes the milk off of her face. The Irwin lads go to the kitchen and Ashton makes Jeydon some Weetabix, mashing it into an almost porridge-like substance. As Ashton feeds Jeydon his breakfast, Ella-Mae wanders into the kitchen and makes Ashton some coffee and herself some hot chocolate. After their breakfast time, they get dressed and get Jeydon ready to leave their apartment.

"Everyone's presents are in the car right?" Ella-Mae asks, as she checks everything. Ashton nods his head, picking Jeydon up off the floor where he was tottering about.

"Come on little man, we're going to see a heck load of people. Get yourself ready for a long day." Ashton says, making Jeydon giggle and slam his head onto Ashton's collarbone, "Ouch, you have a very hard head, little man." They then leave their home and start the drive to Aimeeleigh and Calum's place. They arrive, immediately met with the scent of turkey roasting.

"Ow fuck. This pissing knife." Aimeeleigh's voice echoes through their apartment.

"Dude, you can't swear! Ash and Mae just turned up with Jeydon, his poor innocent ears." Amelia responds, from the living room.

"You try slicing your finger open and not swearing." Aimeeleigh replies.

"I could do that." Amelia says, blowing out a puff of air in defiance.

"No, you couldn't. Remember way back before tour when you smashed your cup and sliced your finger open, you yelled 'fuck' really loudly." Michael states, then everyone laughs at the memory. Jeydon then starts to babble loudly, then giggles whilst slapping his mum's shoulder.

"Someone needs to help me, your girl is not chill with doing this whole thing by herself." Aimeeleigh says, walking into the living room with a plaster in her hand.

"I did it last year." Morgan says, from her place on the sofa, Aimeeleigh sends a playful glare towards her, before shoving the plaster in Luke's hand and sticking her finger out. Luke being the unfortunate soul to have been the closest to her on his way back from the toilet.

"You know I don't like blood all too much, so, erm, it'd be better if like, someone else did this." Luke says, visibly paling.

"How are you gonna deal with the birth of your child if you can't deal with a tiny cut?" Michael questions, as Luke lets out a shaky breath.

"My bad, dude. Can someone please, put my plaster on?" Aimeeleigh says, taking the plaster from Luke's hand and holding it out to everyone. Finally, Ashton takes the plaster and puts it on the wound for her. She thanks him then walks back to the kitchen.

"Where's Calum?" Ella-Mae asks, looking around and noticing the missing member of their group.

"He went to get Jeydon's present, they had to keep it at his parents, because it was too large to keep here apparently." Morgan states, shrugging her shoulders, then leaning to grab one of the chocolates from the tin on the arm of the sofa.

"Morgan, that's enough, if you keep eating those chocolates you won't eat your dinner." Aimeeleigh exclaims from the kitchen.

"You'd be surprised how much I can eat." Morgan responds, making everyone laugh.

"Yeah, the little guy loves to eat, we have to go shopping at least twice a week, it's ridiculous." Luke states, as the front door opens and Calum enters the apartment. He greets everyone and picks up Jeydon from his spot on the floor where Ella-Mae had placed him before she sat down next to Morgan.

"I'm just gonna go back to the conversation we had last year, when Aimeeleigh said she was going to be pregnant so she doesn't have to contribute to making the dinner. What happened dude? You were determined." Ella-Mae says, making Aimeeleigh laugh from in the kitchen.

"Yeah, Calum, you need to pull your finger out and grant her wish." Amelia states, making Calum laugh.

"Pull your finger out and put your dick in instead." Ashton says, making Aimeeleigh and Calum audibly gasp.

"I haven't even done that, Jesus Christ. Get your mind out of the gutter." Calum states, shaking his head.

"Wait. You guys seriously haven't done that yet?" Luke asks, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Well, you didn't see us sneaking into supply closets in the venues, did you?" Aimeeleigh responds, entering the living room.

"You guys shared hotel rooms plenty of times." Amelia comments, shrugging her shoulders.

"Us guys also aren't horny little shits that find it hard to keep our pants on." Calum states, shrugging his shoulders, then kissing Jeydon on his forehead and placing him back down on the floor.

"He's not wrong." Aimeeleigh states, sitting on the floor and Jeydon immediately waddles over to her and sit on her lap.

"Doesn't being around Jeydon the way you both are make you want to have a family?" Morgan asks, waving her arm in the direction of Aimeeleigh and Jeydon.

"Well, personally for now, I'm chill with not having to go through the whole process of pregnancy." Aimeeleigh answers.

"Yeah, plus sleep is a thing that we both love, so like I think we're both fine with holding off for a few years." Calum adds, making everyone nod their heads.

"Hey, why are you getting on our case? What about Amelia and Michael? They also don't have kids." Aimeeleigh points outs, throwing one of her hands out in exasperation, unable to throw both out, due to one being held by Jeydon's tiny hands.

"They're getting married." Luke responds. Aimeeleigh goes to reply, but the cooker starts beeping, so she sighs and glances in the direction of the kitchen. She tries to move Jeydon, but he just yells as though he's going to cry, so she picks him up and carries him into the kitchen.

"Anyone for a drink?" Calum asks, clapping his hands together.
